Jade's POV
"Akala ko ba we'll hang out more?" I said as I looked at my phone.
It's been two days since huli kaming nagkita ni Althea. Hindi naman siya nagttext sakin kaya I have no idea kung ano nang nangyari sakanya since our last meeting.
Bakit hindi ka nagpaparamdam?
Pinilit kong ituon nalang yung attention ko sa ibang mga bagay kaya naman naisipan kong magshopping nalang ngayong araw.
Nagbihis na'ko at kinuha ko na yung bag ko para makaalis na ng bahay.
Pumunta na ako sa mall na malapit sa tinutuluyan ko. Bumili na ako ng mga bagong damit at bags para naman may mas magamit pa akong iba.
Kanina pa ako paikot-ikot dito dahil wala nadin ako halos magawa. This day's definitely a boring one. Para bang may hinahanap ako na hindi ko alam.
"Eh si Althea lang naman talaga gusto mong kasama ngayon eh." I mentally told myself.
In the end, napag-isipan ko nalang na pumunta na muna sa isang cafe dito sa mall for me to be able to think. Pansin ko kasi, these past few days ay palagi ko nalang siyang iniisip.
Alam mo kung anong problema?

Pagkaorder ko ng drinks ko ay umupo na ako and I decided to call the only person na sa tingin ko ay maiintindihan ako.

"Hello, Jade? Why did you call? What happened?" He sounded so worried.
"No, kuya. It's fine. I'm okay. I just want to check you out. Ano nang nangyayari dyan?" I asked.
"Ang gulo dito, Jade. They're all searching for you here in L.A. Pinapahanap ka na halos ni Dada dito." He answered.
"Is that so? Eh ikaw? How are you, ahia?"
"I'm enduring all of these. Kinakaya ko pa naman, fortunately." He said.
"I see. Ahia, I have a question and I really need your opinion about this." I frankly said.
"Okay, what is it about this time?"
"There's this person kasi that I met here."
"And? Come on, shobe. Tell me." He said.
"Sa tingin ko na-aattach ako sakanya? I mean, I've only met that person a couple of days ago and ngayon eto ako, hindi na siya mawala sa isip ko." I explained.
"Talaga? How come na naging attached ka na sakanya eh saglit pa nga lang kayong nagkasama?" He asked.
"Yun na nga eh, sandali lang kaming magkasama pero feeling ko ang lapit lapit ko na sakanya. Ahia, is this feeling alright?" I told him.
"Shobe, maybe you're just confused. Siguro kaya hindi matanggal sa isip mo 'yang tao na yan kasi nga it's that person that made you feel comfortable and okay dyan. Siguro kaya hinahanap mo siya kasi nga siya lang yung nakikita mong companion dyan." He explained.
"Oo nga, ahia. Maybe I'm just confused. Siguro nga ganoon lang ang explanation doon."
"Shobe, just go and discover that place okay? Go find yourself. Eventually, malalaman mo din kung ano ba talaga 'yang nararamdaman mo. I can tell na medyo attracted ka dyan sa taong 'yan." He teased.
"No, kuya! Imposible!" I defended.
"Bakit naman? Isn't he handsome?" He asked.
Kuya, yun na nga eh. He's a she. That's the point.
"Basta hindi talaga pwede 'yon, ahia. Hindi pwede." I said.
"Okay. Sabi mo eh. Haha. Oh shobe, I have to go. Kailangan ko magpakita sa lunch at baka hanapin nila ako. Take care of yourself, okay? Love you!"
"Okay, ahia. Love you too!" I said as the phone call ended.
I was halfway through my food when I saw someone.
Si Batchi ba 'yon?
She was with her, what? Girlfriend, perhaps. I was looking at her the moment she saw me kaya naman lumapit sila sa akin.
Wait, kilala niya ko?
"Hi. I'm Batchi and this is my girlfriend. Have I seen you? You look familiar kasi." Both of them smiled at me.
"I do? I--I mean, probably? I saw you at at Runner's Kitchen. You were talking to Althea and your employees that time. I'm Jade, by the way." I said.
"You know Althea?" She asked.
"Yes. She's a friend."
"Okay. We need to go now eh. Hope to see you again sometime, Jade!" She said as both of them waved their goodbyes.
"Batchi, wait! I have a question, if that's okay with you?" I told her.
"Sure. Ano ba yun?" She asked.
"Have you seen Althea? I mean, wala na kasi akong balita sakanya. Wala din kasi siya sa RK nung pumunta ako kahapon eh." I shyly said.
"Althea's very busy right now since may iba siyang work. Nauna na siya sa'min kaya kami na muna yung nasa RK. Susunod din kami doon to help her in organizing the event. Ang sabi niya sa amin, baka hindi na daw muna siya makapunta ng RK." She smiled at me.
"Ah sige. Thanks again, Batchi. See you!" I said.
"Of course we will. Bye!" She said as they went out of the cafe.
Tinapos ko na yung food ko and dumiretso na ako ng bahay since wala rin naman pala doon si Althea.
Bakit kaya hindi man lang niya ako sinabihan na may event pala siyang i-oorganize?
Jade, obligasyon niya bang sabihan ka? Bakit girlfriend ka ba?
I shaked my head as I went up to my unit.
Pagkadating ko ng floor ko ay nakasalubong ko si Nica at yung boyfriend niya.
"Uy, Jade! Tama lang yung dating mo kasi ikaw talaga pinunta namin dito." She smiled.
"Oh okay. Anong meron?" I asked them.
"Its about our wedding! Diba sabi ko sa'yo invited ka? Ayun we'll be having our wedding at Batangas. Can you come? Wala ka bang ibang plans on the weekend?"
"Uhm, wala naman. Of course I will attend! I wouldn't miss it for the world!" I cheerfully said.
"That's good to know! I'll lend you one of my cars para naman may magamit ka papunta doon. I'll just text you the address!" She looks so excited.
"Okay sige. Thanks for inviting me!" I said.
"Girl, no big thing. The wedding starts at three. I'll reserve you a room at the hotel. See you on Saturday, Jade!" She said.
"See you!" I said as we bid our goodbyes.
Dumiretso na ako sa unit at naghanda na ng nga gamit ko para hindi na hassle pag pumunta ako doon ng friday.
This is a good way to start a weekend.
Maganda rin 'to para hindi ko muna siya maisip.
