Jade's POV
It's a bright Sunday when I woke up feeling sore from yesterday's event. Pagod na pagod ako at hindi ko na pala namalayan na nakatulog na ako sa gown ko. Hindi ko na nga rin natanggal yung make up ko kaya naman mukha na akong zombie.
I headed to my bathroom at naligo na muna para mas refreshing naman yung feeling. I wore a loose shirt and cotton shorts para naman mas komportable ako gumalaw dito.
Wala na pala sila Nica since dumiretso na agad sila sa Palawan after ng wedding nila. Bukas ay baka umuwi nalang din ako since wala narin naman na akong gagawin pa dito.
I was reminiscing when someone knocked on my door. It was an errand boy.
"Good morning ma'am! I'm here to serve you your meal po." He said.
"Huh? I didn't requested any breakfast for my unit. This is not for me." I explained.
"No, ma'am. Someone asked our management to deliver this meal to you. Para sainyo po talaga ito, ma'am."
"May I know who's this person?" I asked.
"I'm sorry, ma'am pero mahigpit pong binilin sa amin na wag daw pong sabihin ang pangalan niya. Tsaka hindi ko rin po talaga alam kasi napag-utusan lang naman po ako na i-deliver ito sa unit niyo." He replied.
"Okay, sige. Iwanan mo nalang yan dyan sa loob." I said as I gave him his tip.
Tiningnan ko yung laman and wala naman din akong nakita kung hindi isang note lang.
"Good morning! Get up and enjoy the day! Let's have breakfast together. What do you think? See you when you see me. :)"
Dun palang sa note na yun alam ko na kung sino ang nagpadala nito. Ano nanaman ba mga pakulo mo ngayon, Althea? Ang aga-aga kinikilig na'ko. Jusko.
Nagbihis ulit ako at lumabas na ng unit ko para hanapin siya. Alam ko namang nandito lang yun at nagtatago.
I was in the elevator when the lady operator talked to me.
"Good morning, ma'am! Ano pong floor?"
"Morning! Ground floor, please." I said.
Pinindot na niya at bumaba nadin yung elevator.
"Bye, ma'am. Enjoy your day po!" She said while giving me another note.
"Let's not waste time. Where exactly are you now?! ;)"
Nasaan ka ba talaga, Althea? Kanina pa'ko paikot-ikot dito eh.
Pagkababa ko ng ground floor ay pumunta sa labas. Ang sarap ng hangin dito lalo na't nasa tabing-dagat lang ang hotel.
I was walking when I bumped into someone.
"Uy, Althea! Good morning!" Si Batchi.
"Hi, Batchi. Morning! Have you seen Althea?" I asked her.
"I'm not sure eh. Pero pinapaabot niya sa'yo to oh!" She said while giving me a balloon. There's a note pasted on it.
"I'm waiting. Don't be too long! Waiting is painful. :("
"Hindi mo ba talaga siya nakita, Batchi? Imposible namang iba nagpabigay sa'yo niyan." I told her.
"Actually, kahapon niya pa binigay 'to sa akin eh. Sabi niya ibigay ko daw sa'yo once na makita kita. Paluwas nadin kasi kami dahil walang magbabantay sa RK. So paano, Jade? Hanapin mo na siya ha?" She winked at me and waved her goodbye.
Kahapon?
"May gagawin pa kasi ako eh. Pero I will once I finish the things I need to do."
Ito ba yung kailangan mong gawin?
Patuloy ko pading hinahanap si Althea kaya pumunta ako sa may shore at may batang lalaki na lumapit sa akin.
"Hi. You must be Jade. Here take this and open it! This is for you." He gave me a shell.
I opened the shell and may nakasingit nanaman na note doon.
"I hope that the kid knows how to recognize a princess. :) You're almost there. Keep searching."
"How did you know that I'm Jade?" I asked the kid.
"A pretty woman talked to me a while ago and taught me how to look for shells that's why I offered my help in searching for the lost princess. The princess' name's Jade and I think you look like a princess that's why I gave that shell to you." He cheerfully said.
"You're such a smart kid! Thank you."
"You're welcome. The woman also wants you to go to that rock. See you sometime, princess Jade!" He said while pointing to the other direction.
Lumakad parin ako nang lumakad hanggang sa may makita akong malaking bato. Wala naman si Althea dito pero may nakita akong isang bouquet ng tulips na nakalapag sa harap ng bato. Mayroon parin note na nakasulat doon kaya I assumed that it's for me.
"My favorite flowers for my favorite girl. Hey, I can see you now! ;)"
Lumingin ako and there she is, Althea. She's smiling at me habang papalapit siya sa akin.
"Good morning! How's your day so far?" She beamed. I was red as a tomato when I looked at her.
"It's beyond great. Did you prepare all of this? This is so beautiful." I said as I looked into her eyes.
"Yes, I did. Diba sabi ko sa'yo babawi ako? Kaya ito, I prepared you breakfast. Will you have breakfast with me?" I nodded as an answer and followed her behind the rock.
"Ito ba yung sinasabi mong gagawin mo?"
"Yes. Hinanda ko talaga 'to kagabi pa. I just want everything to be as perfect as you." She said.
"I'm not perfect." I said as I sat down with my flowers on my lap.
"Well you are, for me." She smiled while handling me the utensils.
"I can't believe that you've prepared all of these. I am flattered." I sincerely smiled at her. Dagdag ganda points 'to sa'yo. Kinikilig na talaga 'ko!
"Well, para san pa ang pagiging organizer ko kung hindi ko magagawa 'to diba?" She returned the smile.
That smile. I'm dying because of kilig!
We started our meal with the beach serving as our view.
Althea, why are you doing this? You're making me fall. And I don't know if I'll be ever to get up.
"What are you looking at?" She asked me since nahuli niya akong nakatingin sakanya.
"Wala naman. I'm just overwhelmed. This is the first time that someone prepared like this for me. Kahit si David ay hindi ito nagawa sa akin." I said.
"You deserve the best, Jade. And I'm willing to give you the best. Kaya kung ako sa'yo, I'll finish my meal na para mas ma-enjoy na natin ang Batangas!" She said while eating.
"What are we gonna do?" I asked her.
"You'll see." She winked and smiled as we continued to finish our food.
