Jade's POV
"Jade, calm down!" Paul said as we were still on our way back to our house.
"I am calm! Who says I'm not?" I stated while my hands are a bit shaking.
"We are?" Althea answered teasingly.
"Jade, everything's gonna be fine. Andito kami for you. You have nothing to worry about." Paul said as his eyes were still on the road.
Nakarating na kami sa bahay at sinalubong ako ng nila Sally and Bianca. They both looked worried kaya naman kinausap ko muna sila.
"Are you sure about this?" Sally said.
"Alam mo, paiba-iba ka, akala ko ba okay ka sa pag-amin nila? Labo mo naman eh." Bianca questioned her.
"Sure na ako guys. Mas okay na nandito si Althea to support me." I assured them.
Pumasok na kami and I was surprised to see all of them in our sala. They all looked so serious and that already triggered my nervousness.
"Hija!" Ama hugged me.
"Where did you go?" Mama asked.
"That was very disrespectful, Jade. Go say sorry to your fiancee." Dada looked at David.
"It's okay, tito. No big deal." David reassured.
"He's not my fiancee. I'm again calling off the wedding. I'm sorry." I said with conviction as I looked at their shocked faces.
"Jade! Ano nanaman ba ito?!" Dada said.
"Anak, bakit?" Mama asked.
"What's wrong, Althea? What's happening?" Pearl was getting confused too.
"Jade just wants to be free." Paul answered.
"Free from what, shobe?" Gab asked.
"Jade, you're just tired. Babe, let's talk. Wag tayong magpadalos-dalos nanaman." David interrupted.
"Don't babe me. I've only agreed to get married because of your threats. You're such a coward, David." I said to him.
"What threats are you saying?" Dada's becoming more curious.
"Dada.." I sighed. "I can't marry David. I don't want to marry him." I said.
"Pero bakit? Hindi mo parin ba nakalimutan ang mga nagawa niya, anak? Is that your reason?" Mama asked.
"No! I'm done with that part. Ayoko na talaga. Please. Just let me go." I looked at David as I pleaded.
"Pero bakit nga?! Ano bang nangyayari sa'yo!" Dada demanded for my answer.
"I already love someone! Hindi ko na mahal si David. Wag niyo na akong ipilit sakanya, I'm begging you." I said.
"What?! Who's this person?! Hindi 'to pwede, Jade!" Dada said. I looked at Althea as if I'm asking for help.
"It's Al--" Althea stepped in and they all looked at her.
"I am. I am Jade's lover." Althea talked as she held my hand. Shit ito na talaga.
"You? A girl?" Dada said and I saw all of them looked so shocked aside from Ama and Paul.
"This is crazy. Imposible!" Dada exclaimed.
"Althea? Totoo ba talaga 'to?" Pearl asked her.
"I believe it is, Pearl. Sorry for not telling you." Althea answered.
