Jade's POV
I was really hoping that this day will be good. Napagdesisyunan kong umuwi muna dahil my family was really expecting for me to be present.
"I'm ready." I looked at my bestfriends as we headed to our house.
Sigurado akong nasabi na ni David ang plano niyang pakasalan ako. Knowing my family, sure akong tatanggapin nila agad ito.
"Jade, hindi na ba talaga magbabago 'yang isip mo?" Saly said while looking on the road.
"Pwede mo namang sabihin na ayaw mo na talaga diba?" Bianca was on the passenger's seat.
"Si David pa ba tatanggihan nila? Wala na talaga akong magagawa. I'll just hope for the best." I sighed.
"Paano na si Althea? You can't get married without even telling this to her. She deserves the truth, Jade." Bianca looked at me.
"I know. As soon as matapos na 'tong kasalan na 'to, I'll talk to her. Tatapusin ko na ang lahat dahil wala nadin naman kaming magagawa." I told them.
"Masasaktan mo si Althea sa gagawin mo." Sally interrupted.
"I know. But, what can I do? Pamilya ko na ang nakasalalay dito." I said.
"Pero, pwede naman kasing tanggihan mo nalang ang kasal." Bianca said.
"Tapos ano ang idadahilan ko? Ayaw ko nang magpakasal dahil may mahal na akong iba? Dahil mahal ko si Althea?" I looked at them.
"Hindi ba dapat yun naman talaga? You should be fighting for her." They said.
"Kulong na'ko. I can't do anything. Kapakanan din ni Althea ang iniisip ko. Paano kung malaman 'to ni dada at pahirapan lang siya nito? I'm willing to sacrifice my happiness for Althea." I seriously said.
Nanahimik na kaming lahat at tinahak nalang ang daan.
I love you, Althea.
But I just can't let you suffer.
Dumating kami sa bahay and the maids welcomed me. Nakita ko din sina ahia Gab and Pearl as I got out of the car.
"Shobe! We've missed you." He hugged me tightly and tears now started to flow.
"I missed you too, kuya." I reciprocated the hug and looked at Pearl.
"Welcome back, Jade." She smiled at me.
"Thanks. Where are the others?" I asked her.
"Paul and Ama are inside. Your parents are in the dining room." She answered.
We headed towards the dining room and they looked at us the moment we stepped inside. I looked around and saw David already seating beside Paul.
"Jade, anak!" My mom immediately stood up and went to me. She kissed me.
"Finally, my daughter's here." Dada said.
"Come here, Jade. Join us for lunch." David was about to stand when Sally and Bianca interrupted.
"Our friend's full." Bianca said.
"Yeah. We've already eaten before going here." Sally said.
"Bakit bumalik ka pa, Jade? You shouldn't be here." Paul seriously said.
"Shut up, Paul. Jade's finally back and she's getting married to David for real." Dada said.
"Wow. Congrats! This is good news! I can't wait for you to be miserable as well." Paul sarcastically said.
