Jade's POV
I can't breathe.
"Jade, hinga." Bianca whispered.
How could this happen?
She's here. She's really here. Anong ginagawa niya dito? Paano niya nalaman 'to?
"What brings you here, Ms. Guevarra?" Dada asked.
"Mr. Tanchingco, gusto ko pong makausap kayo regarding matters." Althea said as she looked at me.
No. It can't be.
"Althea." I said and they all looked at me.
"Jade, keep it cool, please!" Sally whispered.
"You know Althea?" Pearl asked.
"Uh, yes. I met her sa Pilipinas. S-She's a friend." Tanggi ko.
Sally and Bianca looked shocked as they eyed me. I know I really screwed up.
"Friend.." Sabi niya na para bang nilalasahan ang masakit na salita.
"Oh yes. We're just friends. Right, Jade?" She stressed on the word 'friends'.
"Seryoso ka ba talaga dyan?!" Bianca uttered.
"Itatanggi mo lang talaga siya?" Sally said. Both of them are silently protesting.
"Wow. Small world. Hindi ko alam na magkakakilala pa kayo sa Pilipinas." Pearl said.
"Yeah. I didn't expect that too." Althea said.
"Well, Althea, your timing's so perfect." David smirked.
"David, stop. Don't do this." I warned her.
"You know her as well?" Pearl asked.
"Of course, I know her." David said.
"Sorry, but I do not." Althea replied to his statement.
They were both looking at each other as if they really know each others agenda. Their stares intensified and I was aware of it.
"Going back, I was able to announce my engagement earlier with my girl. We'll get married few weeks from now." David smirked even more.
I looked at her round eyes and I immediately saw betrayal and anger.
"Married? You're getting married?" She's looking at me. Pain was evident in her eyes.
"Look, Althea, I uh--" I wasn't able to find the exact words.
"Ito na nga ba sinasabi ko." Hirit ni Bianca.
"Wow. Congrats. You two look good together." She smiled sarcastically. She composed herself.
"Thank you. I've been thinking to get you as our wedding coordinator since I heard na magaling daw ang company niyo doon." He said.
"Yeah. But, we're pre-occupied already. Go get someone instead." She looked angrily at me.
"David, may kilala akong wedding coordinator. Siya nalang siguro since hindi nga daw pwede si Ms. Guevarra." My mom added.
"Sayang. Althea has been our wedding coordinator and she's really good with these details." Pearl said.
"Excuse me, but I think I'm not on the right time. Or maybe I wasn't supposed to be even here." Althea interrupted.
"You bet." David said.
"Could you please just shut up?!" I said.
"Ano bang nangyayari sainyo?" Dada said.
"Don't mind me sir. Aalis nalang po ako dito. Wala nadin patutunguhan ito." Ngumiti si Althea at biglaan nalang naglakad papalabas.
