we often forget that we're reacting
to the bombardment of images
not to the bombs themselves.
if we believe for too long
that words are weapons
we turn people into words
which, as we now believe,
are just weapons.
we'll remain reacting
to images with words
while the unseen and the unheard
are bombed out of existence.
