Amal's P.O.V.
"Wafa?" I say her name as I walk through the main gates of her home as I have done a thousand times before, but instead of being greeted by her, I am greeted by Saboor Khala.
"Amal," She said smiling wiping her hands with her dupatta, "Aajao," (Come in) She urged me to sit down, "Kaisi ho tum?" (How are you?)
I smiled at her, "Mein theek hoon," (I am fine) Saboor Khala handed me a glass of water as she sat down infront of me, "Aap kaisi ho?" (How are you?)
Khala's smile brightens, "Bohot achi," (Really good)
I took a sip of my water, "That's good, Khala." I looked around the house, "Wafa?"
"She is at work," She replied, "Ayra is gone to college, and Wafa took Malli alongside her to the school, as it is her first day." It's her first day and she didn't tell me?
Taking a deep breath I set my glass down, "Khala," I say softly, "Is Wafa mad at me?"
Khala furrowed her eyebrows and shook her head, "No, why do you think that?" She asked,
"Khala, she hasn't been the same since I got married," I tell her, "Wafa has changed, almost as if she thinks she is done with her responsibility to me."
Khala shook her head, "Amal, she is not mad nor does she think that." I was listening to her words, but they were hard to beleive, "She has just been busy with school, and finding a job. Wafa is just content with where you are now Honey,"
"What?"
"Even though you are a month older than her, she always has treated you like Ayra and Malli." Khala went on, "Always worried about you, always ready to fight for you with anyone. . but now since Samar has stepped into your life, she has taken the back seat." Khala took my hand in hers, "I know it may seem weird to you because you two have always been. contacted by the hip, but Wafa is letting you live without her, and she is learning to live without you. . .Amal is living for herself after a really long time. Wafa is finding her space in the world, but she still has the same amount of love for you as she did yesterday. . trust me."
I breathe out heavily, "Okay," It saddened me that she didnt have as much as time she used to have for me, but Khala was right. . .I need to let. Wafa goes out into the world like she. has let me. . . "I promise I won't be as clingy as before."
Khala smiled softly, "All you have to do is make one call," She softly brushed her thunk over my knuckles, "And Wafa will be infront of you."
"I know,"
"Now, enough with this conversation, tell me what do you want to eat?" She asked standing up.
"Biryani!" I exclaim as I follow her inside the house.
"Coming right up," Khala said.

Waliyah's P.O.V.
"Amma!" I called out to her as I pushed Malli out of my starving for some food, and I could smell her world-famous biryani smell from a mile away, "Amma!"
"In the kitchen!" She exclaimed as I ran inside to see Amal sitting in my chair. My smile slightly faded as Amal stood up in excitement.
"Amal," I say as happily as I can, "You are here!"
Amal jumped up and pulled me into a tight hug, "Why didn't you tell me it was your first day at work?" I awkwardly patted her back before pulling away.
