*** Randheera ***

This is the strangest thing to happen in my life up until this point.

Why does the snake not want to embarrass me or send me to prison.

Why strategy could he be possibly having for asking me to take Yashu to paradise?

"General wait," I heard his voice calling me from behind, interrupting the thoughts I was having as I walked across the corridors.

Wow, he even addressed me with my title and not Kheera.

Strange!

"What do you want now?" I asked rudely.

Vish signed to maintain his composure before continuing.

"I want you to not tell Yashoda that the reason you are taking her to paradise is because of a punishment," he replied.

"What the hell?" I said angrily, "You cannot add conditions once you've finalized the punishment. What strategy do you have behind this? Do you want to create disputes between me and my wife by giving her the false impression that I love her?"

"Why don't you take a deep breath, repeat your words out loud and tell me how stupid it sounds?" he replied and I fell silent.

Now that I rethink my words, it does sound stupid. 'Create disputes by giving my wife the false impression that I love her?

But again......

"My marriage with Yashu is circumstantial," I replied, "I've made it clear before marriage that my love and loyalty is with the state. I cannot afford to give her expectations of love, it would only break her heart."

"If a random man smiles at you and then later tells you that he only did so because of a punishment, how would that make you feel?" he asked and I fell silent again.

As stone hearted as I am, even my heart would pain if someone does that to me.....and this is Yashu we are talking about....

"You took your soldiers to paradise before," the poison continued, "You took the kids from your orphanage to paradise before and newly wed soldiers raise requests to take their wives to paradise all the time! So write it off as a suggestion from the King, if that helps ease your mind, but do not mention it as a punishment."

I remained silent for a while thinking.

The snake is right. I shouldn't claim it as a punishment and to be honest it's not a punishment either, a tour of paradise with my wife is a blessing more than anything else....I mean....blessing to witness Paradise.....

"Oh and don't worry about her falling for you," the snake continued, "You could try for another 7 lives and your stone heart would never be able to win over my sister."

I angrily glared at him.

"All the best if you are trying, though," the poison added once again with a smirk before leaving.

Idiot! What does he mean by trying?

Why would I be trying?

*** Vinod ***

"What an idiot you are Vinod?" I thought to myself as I continued to make the calculations with my right hand while trying to put on the badges with my left.
