*** Yashoda ***
I woke up earlier today, hoping to catch the general before he puts on his uniform and made my way to his room, only to find it...open and empty.....
He already left?
I still went in to confirm, a light of hope still in my mind....yet he was nowhere to be found.
"Why are you so unpredictable, general sir," I thought to myself and stepped outside only to knock into his chest as he tried to make his way inside.
"Ouch," I whispered to myself.
"Are you alright?" the general asked gently, holding my shoulders.
"You are still here?" I said excitedly as I looked up but soon noticed that he was dressed up, with badges and weapons.
My smile immediately disappeared.
"Leaving soon," he said, walking past and picking up the books on his desk, "Anything important to discuss?"
"Yes...no...." I hesitated.
"Yes or no?" he asked, still engrossed in picking up his documents.
"Maybe?" I replied.
He signed a little frustrated.
"How long is it going to take?" he asked.
"5 minutes," I replied.
"Well then," he said as he gathered his belongings and made his way out of the room, "Walk and talk with me."
"I need..." I hesitated as I walked behind him, "I mean....I want to ask....if...I could have a small place to set up a mandir for Madhav...."
"No need to ask, set it up wherever you want," he replied nonchalantly.
"But...perhaps there are some things in here that you wish to not be touched?" I asked.
"Yes," he replied, "the chamber with the important documents and that is locked anyway."
"No I mean..." I tried to explain, "some favorite furniture that shouldn't be moved, some decorations that should not be displaced, things like that...."
"Everything around is provided by the state,Yashu," he turned back and replied, "I don't have time to customize this house and most importantly I don't care."
"You should," I instinctively replied, "Caring is what turns even the confinement of four walls into a home."
The general's eyes slightly changed expression as he narrowed them and made his gaze more intense.
Was he thinking? Was he confused? Was he angry?
Who knows?
Cute cuttlefish's eyes convey a million expressions at the same time and somehow none of them makes sense.
