Here is a new update, but I am honestly very disappointed with all the spam comments. I've been literally requesting not to spam for the past five chapters, yet some of you are still continuing to do it.
Comments are supposed to mean something. Imagine opening the comment section and seeing 100 single words with no meaning. If the target takes time, so be it. If you want to comment more, go ahead, but make your comments meaningful. If I see any spam comments on this chapter, I will have to delay the next chapter.
***Shanthi***
"Oh my God!" I exclaimed the moment I stepped inside the doors of paradise.
"Pretty, right?" Vinod smiled, looking at me.
"Pretty?" I exclaimed, "Vinnu, this is beyond pretty! It is... it is..." I struggled to find the right word. "Fill it yourself with the best word to describe 'pretty,'" I concluded and immediately ran inside, twirling around multiple times, feeling like a princess... but stopped midway.
"You probably don't like me acting this way, right?" I asked, turning towards Vinod.
"And who exactly said that?" Vinod asked, confused.
"I don't know," I replied hesitantly, "But... the way I've been behaving for the past few days is different from what would be expected of me, isn't it?"
"It is," Vinod smiled, taking a step forward, "But different doesn't mean bad, does it?"
"It's not," I shook my head, "But childish behavior isn't acceptable, right?"
"Maybe," Vinod shrugged, "But I am not exactly a mature person either."
"Then..." I whispered, "Then you keep my childishness a secret, and I will keep your childishness a secret."
Vinod chuckled.
"Done," he affirmed, "You have my word."
"Hmm," I nodded, "So now I will jump like a madwoman, twirl around, and say 'yay'. I want you not to judge me for it."
"Sure," Vinod replied, "But you should promise not to judge me for my actions either."
"I won't," I assured him, and Vinod smiled.
"Now I am going to twirl around," I said.
"Go ahead," Vinod said, stepping back to give me space.
I jumped, twirled around, and shouted, "Yay!" but before I could even take the second twirl, Vinod pulled me into his arms.
"Vinnu... what are you..." I tried to ask, puzzled.
"Shhh," Vinod placed a finger on my lips, "You promised not to judge, remember?"
I fell silent.
"How many times did I make you angry this week?" he asked.
I didn't answer, and I felt his arms tighten, pulling me closer.
"I asked a question, sweetheart," he whispered.
"Three times," I answered, looking into his eyes.
"Then," he asked, "If I kiss you three times now, will you forget everything and become my sweet Shanthi again?"
I remained silent for a while before hesitantly expressing myself, "Only three?"
Vinod's eyes widened for a moment, completely taken aback by my unexpected words, but he quickly pulled himself together.
