*** Randheera ***

"Kids, it's time for dinner," the supervisor announced and the moment he did 4 year old Chutki who was sitting in my lap leaped towards Yashoda.

"Yashoda amma! Yashoda amma! Can you feed me today?" she asked excitedly.

"Of course," Yashu smiled.

"Me too! Me too!" 8 year old Rudra ran towards her but I caught him midway and pulled him into my lap.

"Remember the rules little monkey," I said as I snuggled him in my arms.

"What rules?" Yashu asked innocently.

"Children above 7 should eat by themselves," the supervisor replied on my behalf.

"But why?" Yashu asked confused.

"Because the staff are limited and children are so many," I replied, "It's a decision of logic."

"But I am not the staff," Yashu added, "I can feed them right?"

"Yes right!" Rudra exclaimed as he struggled to let go of my embrace, "Dheeru papa let me go."

"Start doing that and every child here will ask you to feed them," I said still holding onto Rudra.

"Then I will feed everyone," Yashu plainly replied. "Who wants to eat from Yashoda amma's hands?" she announced and the next moment all children ran towards her irrespective of age.

"Me too! Me too!" Rudra ran and sat beside her while I was too surprised to hold him back.

Firstly, how dare she disobey me and secondly, the rule can be broken?

The supervisor smiled and brought a huge plate of food and Yashoda gathered all the children around her feeding them one by one, even catering to their individual preferences of rice to curry ratio.

My wife is divine!

As I was engrossed in my thoughts Chutki once again came and sat in my lap.

"Ribba came off," she said giving me the ribbon in her hand.

I smiled, shook my head and started braiding her hair again.

This is the 5th time....

"General sir it will look prettier if you make two bows," Yashu suggested still engrossed in feeding our chidren.

"General sir?" Rudra asked surprised, "Amma, why are you calling Dheeru papa general sir?" "You told us to not call you that because it might accidentally make you treat us like soldiers which is bad?" he said turning towards me, "Then why are you not stopping amma from calling you that?"

"Right," I said as I suddenly realized and turned towards Yashu, "Call me something else Yashu."

"Something else..." she stuttered, "Something else like what?"

"Randheera, Dheera, Dheeru..." Rudra started listing out.

"Stop it, kid," the supervisor interrupted, "Wives aren't supossed to call husbands by name."

"Then howcome Dheeru papa can call amma by name?" 9 year old Laalithya asked innocently.

"Right," I affirmed, "Doesn't seem fair."
