(the next day)

(no-one's pov)

"morning."

"oh, i forgot you're back. i slept so much better with you in the same room." lisa says sleepily, rolling over in her bed, earning a light chuckle out of jennie.

"weirdo. i always get sad the day after christmas, it just means all the fun is over." the brunette complains, groaning into her pillow. 

the blonde sighs loudly, turning in her bed to face jennie a couple meters away.

the brunette makes a face, earning a giggle out of lisa.

"we've still got new years. got any plans for that?" lisa suggests, raising her eyebrows at jennie, who gasps loudly.

"oh! i completely forgot. i have no idea, hmm, let's see... i plan to stay in bed, watch rom coms and cry about my pathetic romantic life." jennie says sarcastically, getting out of her bed and crawling into lisa's.

"ugh, too heavy. also, your romantic life is not pathetic." lisa explains, rolling over to make space.

"yes it is."

"no it isn't, you're in a hot girl's bed right now." lisa jokes, causing jennie to gasp loudly, shoving her away.

"you little rat. that doesn't count."

"if it helps, it does count. now, come help me plan a party for new years."

"a party?" jennie rolls over to face lisa, her face a mere 20 centimetres away from the blonde, who rolls her eyes.

"yes a party, silly. we'll have it on the beach, we'll invite a bunch of the trainees, and have some fun before we debut. it's our last chance before we get ridiculed for every second thing we do, so, yeah. we're gonna have a party." lisa rants, tilting her chin as jennie rolls her eyes, her gummy smile tugging at the corners of her mouth.

lisa squints her eyes, waiting for a response.

"no." jennie jokes, soon being interrupted by lisa kicking her under the sheets, hard.

"I WAS JOKING! i was joking! yes, i'd love to have a party. now give me a hug, my leg hurts." jennie complains, as lisa  wraps her long slender arms around the brunette's waist, who sinks into the hug, closing her eyes and smiling softly.

"i missed your hugs."

"honestly, same. it's so boring without you here, don't ever leave again." lisa jokes, tucking her head into jennie's nape.

"that tickles."

"oh, sorry."

"don't stop though, it keeps my neck warm."

"god, we are chaeyoung and jisoo. we need to stop."

"pah. you're just like the sister i never had."

(day before new year's eve)

"you are white as a ghost."

"i know, and i'm supposed to be the thai one. i don't like shark movies."

i whine, pulling my eyes away from the giant shark attacking this poor woman on the television.

after much debate for our post-dinner movie, jennie has forced me to watch a shark movie, which is really quite dumb considering we're going to the beach tomorrow.

"i'm never going into the water again, you know this right?" i ask, tucking my blanket under my chin, as jennie turns her head to smirk at me.

"that's what i was planning, this way, i'll be in the water with all the hot guys and they'll be all over me because you're not there to steal them from me." she jokes, and i gasp shoving her slightly.
