chapter 56

31st of october, 2016 (1 day before playing with fire) (like 10 days since last chapter)

the sun rose over the city like it did every morning, casting long shadows through blackpink's little apartment. clothes were strewn across the floor haphazardly, and the gentle hum of the air conditioner restricted jennie from waking up in lisa's bed, the blonde's scent present on the pillows, but she was nowhere to be found.

well, not really. she was in the practice room, cracking every bone in her body.  autumn birds whistled as they sat on the trees outside, and lisa paused to watch them, orange leaves floating down to land on their heads.

jennie stirred slightly in between the sheets, her eyelids fluttering as she fisted her linen shirt and stretched her legs. she never really expected lisa to be there when she was awake, and lisa knew that. it was her job to be the early riser, the role model.

the brunette smiled softly to herself, pinpointing lisa's hoodie in a pile at the end on the bed and slipping it over her head.

rosie sat in the hallway, tying her shoelaces, waving wordlessly to jennie as she left for her morning run, and jisoo was on the couch, drinking hot chocolate and watching k-dramas.

everything was in order, despite the fact that they were having their first comeback tomorrow.

seeing jisoo, jennie rolled her eyes and sat down, lamenting the older girl about the joys of exercise, and staying fit.

"i'm good for now, thanks. we get one day to rest from the grind, and i'm gonna use it to its full potential. what about you?"

jennie sat in thought, resting a hot cup of tea on her lap. "i might do some chores. lisa's and i's room is a mess. i'll probably just do whatever she ends up doing, to be honest. i was thinking maybe we could all get hotpot for dinner?"

jisoo grinned widely, turning her focus to jennie.

"uh, yes please. where is lisa anyway?" jisoo replied, clicking her tongue and leaning out to look past jennie. before the brunette could answer, someone else did for her.

"i'm out here! where i always am!" lisa yelled from the training room, causing jennie to grin and instantly stand up to go find the blonde.

she padded through the hall and leant on the doorframe as she watched lisa do her morning stretches, her lovely abs and toned limbs on display.

the brunette felt a sense of deja vu, from when she had watched lisa stretch a couple of months ago and felt an odd stirring in her stomach.

but now, the fun part was she could act in her desires.

"good morning." jennie said calming, slightly grinning as lisa stood up to her attention, mildly out of breath.

"hi." she replied breathlessly, her blonde hair framing her face and the sun filtering through the windows made her dark brown eyes shine gold.

jennie rolled her eyes, walking up to lisa and placing a gentle hand on the thai's hip, pulling her in for a soft kiss as the blonde savoured it, smiling against jennie's teeth and grazing her jaw with her fingers.

they pulled apart, slightly out of breath as lisa leant her forehead on jennie's.

"we're having hotpot with rosie tonight, wanna come with? it can be like a mini date except you practically need to act like you don't know me." jennie joked, referring to the long list of requirements YG had made.

lisa groaned angrily, burying her head in jennie's neck as she felt childish anger course through her bones. "stupid bitch."
