chapter 53

15 of october, 2016, VERY early in the morning.

"i might fall asleep in the hallway." jennie murmurs, stumbling through the front door with the other girls after finally touching back down in seoul.

"second that, but just the first four words, thanks." rosie replies, lisa scoffing at her response and pushing past the redhead.

the blonde grins at the sight of her fellow members half asleep, holding up her energy drink. "i told you to get energy drinks! did you listen? no. you all got chocolate milk," she joked, earning a well-deserved stink eye from jisoo.

"and that's already bad but then jennie got normal milk. what. a. psycho."

"i'm going to fling you across the atlantic ocean." jennie growled, and with a sudden burst of energy, leapt up and starting chasing lisa around the apartment, the blonde squealing in a mix of delight and fear from the fiesty brunette who just tripped over the stupid couch.

"FUCK!! I STUBBED MY TOE!"

"HA! INSTANT KARMA!"

lisa stood under the shower, letting the hot water drip down her back and melt her tight posture that felt like she'd maintained flawlessly for the past 48 hours.

finally inhaling a deep breath, she began scrubbing shampoo into her scalp, and i think you can guess what it smelt like.

the glass door of the shower gave lisa a view of the whole bathroom, a little feminine sanctuary that her and jennie had built, numerous face masks, cleansers, serums and bags of makeup littered the vanity, and little messages were often written on the mirror with lipstick.

"good luck with rehearsals!"
"stop eating my ramen!"
"so sexy! 😍"
"you look cute today! :)"

lisa smiled at the daily reassurances jennie would give her; until shampoo trickled into her eye.

"ah, fuck!" she winced, stumbling around in the shower blindly until she banged her head on the faucet, knocking the knobs and turning the water ice cold.

"SO. COLD! OW!" lisa squealed, and jennie raised an eyebrow at the sudden disturbance from the bathroom.

"alright in there lis?"

'NEVER BEEN BETTER! CAN YOU GET THE EYE DROPS, ICE PACK AND HOT WATER BOTTLE READY FOR ME WHEN I GET OUT?" the blonde replied loudly, and jennie rolled her eyes and snppaed her book shut.

"i'm not even gonna ask."

lisa, now red-eyed, stumbled out of the bathroom in a haze, shivering as she tugged her jumper over her head and watched as jennie tried to hold in a laugh.

the brunette pursed her lips, but the thai girl could see that smile from a mile away.

"don't say anything." the blonde grumbled. "wasn't gonna. here." jennie replied flatly, hiding her smile with her hand as she passed lisa the eye drops, ice pack and hot water bottle, as requested.

lisa snatched them from jennie, who feigned offence, snatching them almost immediately.

"what's the magic word?"

"pizza." lisa replies monotonously and surely.

"i hate you. take it. do you want tea?" jennie sighed, leaving the items on the bed.

"yes please!" lisa smiled, and as jennie walked to the kitchen, she tried to ignore her own gummy smile and blush that crept inconspicously over her features.
