jennie stood nervously in the recording booth, coffee in hand as rosie sat on the other side, overseeing her vocals and teddy, who was there to start properly producing the song.

rosie nodded at the brunette, and she was about to start singing when teddy suddenly yelled into the microphone.

"jennie! just before you start, do you want me to alert YG on the progress of the song?"

the brunette thought for a second.

"uh... no, not yet." jennie replied thoughtfully; she had a plan.

one she was admittedly terrified to enact.

but it didn't matter right now.

it had only taken her and rosie about 2 more hours of work to complete the song, and it took teddy less than that to actually make it, so the very next cold morning, their creation was ready to be recorded.

jisoo sat in the corner, encouraging her two members, a supportive smile for jennie, and a smile she just couldn't quite figure out for rosie.

as far as she knew, the two were still together, but jisoo wanted more. jennie knew that. that's why she's so scared.

she's scared she'll mess up just like jisoo has; she's fallen in way too deep for someone who probably doesn't love her back as much.

the recording went smoothly, it only took about 3 different takes, and then some backing vocals.

a couple hours later, jennie finally shut the door of the recording room, stepping out to talk to teddy.

the tall man wore a mask, it was sometimes hard to figure out what he was thinking about since his facial expressions were limited. the girls knew that he was once an idol, but they never really bothered bringing it up.

if teddy hadn't already brought it up, it probably meant he never wanted to.

"that was great, guys. really. i hope we'll meet the deadline," he continued, bending over as jennie watched him in horror, about to email the draft to YG on his laptop.

her eyes widened, suddenly into action as she roughly pulled teddy back and slammed the laptop shut.

he stumbled slightly, falling back into the chair, his face in shock as he opened and closed his mouth like a fish out of water.

the brunette, suddenly realising what she just done, covered her mouth with her hands, mumbling an apology through them, helping teddy up as jisoo and rosie watched in confusion.

"uh," she began, strong start, kim. jesus.

that sounds like something lisa would say. GET YOUR HEAD OUT THE FUCKING DUMPSTER, JENNIE. YOU ARE A GROWN WOMAN.

"i have something to tell you teddy, lisa and i have been... affiliated with eachother lately, if you know what i mean." teddy nodded profusely, listening carefully as rosie doubled over, trying not to laugh while jisoo just stared on, sighing exasperatedly.

"we... i- wrote a song about her, and that song... is this song. right? yeah, so, YG does not like that lisa and i have been... affiliates. so i was thinking... i show him the song, and then just as he's about to clear it, i'll tell him it's about lisa. then, i'll say that i'll only let him have the song if he lets me stay with lisa. hence the name of the song." jennie ranted, leaning back in the table as teddy watched in pure, under adulterated confusion.

"hence the lack of enthusiasm. hence the unusual quantity of pushing you over. i sincerely apologise, that was a dick move. i'm worthless."

"uh, no you're not." jisoo piped up, but was quickly silenced by a snarky reply.
