(the same day, jan 18th)

jennie sat on a stool quietly admiring the art on the wall, but watching lisa out of the corner of her eye.

the blonde had turned into what seemed a business woman, as she walked around slowly with her perfect hair swishing from side to side, her hands closed neatly behind her back as she greeted people formally, bowing and nodding.

jennie found this side of lisa endearing, watching her every move carefully, her quiet thoughts interrupted by a sudden tapping on her back.

her snapped her head abruptly, to find kai's wide eyes staring back at her.

her eyes widened, as she looked around the room quickly, then back at him.

"what in god's name are you doing here?" jennie asks kai incredulously, the dark haired boy chuckling under his breath.

"this exhibition is run by lee know, he's connected to bangchan, who's connected with yg. i'm connected with yg, so is lisa. did you really think she dragged you here just to see this crappy room of modern art? we're here to spot investors for yg, and powerful people." he explains, tugging in the cuffs of his tuxedo, his eyes scanning the large room, as jennie's eyes settled into her normal siren stare.

she smiled slightly, liking down at her crossed legs on the stool, taking a long sip of her wine.

"huh." she replied simply, kai pulling out a stool next to her, and signalling the waiter.

"how are things going with lisa?" he asked after a minute, swishing around the alcohol in the glass, as he looked up questionably at jennie.

she rolls her eyes, sighing exasperatedly.

"i take it not good."

"no shit."

jennie looks over at the tall blonde again, her posture proud and authorities as she fake smiles to an old man in a business suit.

"we've kissed a couple times now, but honestly it's getting my head so much. i know i'm just a phase to her, and she's just a phase to me, but we need to stop before i fall in too deep. she's just so... magnetic. i need a distraction." she rants, taking a large sip from her drink afterwards as kai clicks his tongue thoughtfully, his eyes glancing to the exit.

"a distraction?"

"yes. i need someone to distract me from that goddess over there."

"wanna get out of here?"

"as hell."

lisa walks around aimlessly, swishing her drink in her glass. she's sure she's talked to everyone here, from shiny young influencers, to old businessmen.

feeling quite bored with herself, she goes up to the bartender and asks for another drink, hopping up onto a stool and staring at the artwork on the wall next to her, and tugging her jacket tighter over her shoulders when she spots a seedy looking businessman smile at her from a couple of stools away.

she nods thankyou to the waiter as he hands her a drink, but before she gets the chance, she remembers jennie is actually here as well, and she was no reason to be bored.

grinning at the thought, she peeks up and scans the room for her favourite little dark haired friend, but it comes to no avail.

her face droops slightly, frowning as she gets up abruptly, the stool scraping on the floor, her drink in hand.

she spots a person who looked like she was talking to jennie earlier, and quickly walks up to her.

"hey, sorry to bother you, but have you seen or met a girl named jennie in here?" lisa questions red haired girl, who shakes her head quickly. "no, sorry. i hope you find her."
