you know those mornings when you wake up and everything's perfect? the sun is shining, you had a good sleep, your pillow is cold and you don't have morning breath?

yeah, well, this morning was not that kind of morning.

jennie could taste the bad breath on her tongue, her skin glued to the sheets with sweat as she rolled over, but was met with a solid force.

smiling softly to herself, the brunette thought about last night. she wasn't sure what she was going to do about the fact that they definitely should not have been doing that, but in that moment she didn't care.

lisa's fingers were resting gently on jennie's abdomen, spooning the brunette so her blonde hair tickled the older girl's neck.

"jen... why'd you move...?" lisa grumbled out incoherently, and jennie sniggered to herself, grinning as she rolled back into place, lisa's hand snaking possessively back over her waist.

the blonde started placing soft kisses on jennie's neck, and the brunette smiled at the ceiling, feeling the adoration radiating off her best friend.

lisa's kisses became less spaced and jennie found herself feeling oddly warm as she giggled into lisa's mouth.

"lisa, stop it-tah!" she whined, grinning as lisa pulled away, the blonde studying her face with full intent.

jennie missed the way lisa would stare at her in thought, the way her arm would drape over her stomach as she slept.

she didn't know if things were going to go back to normal, let alone better, but in that moment, she was happy to have lisa adoring her.

it was a feeling she wished upon anyone.

well not anyone, her newfound sense of... like? towards lisa had come with a handful of jealousy, and it would brew inside her until she felt the need to rip whoever was talking to lisa off of her, and kiss her senseless.

but that would be stupid, because they're not even together.

"shut up." lisa groaned, leaning her head down on jennie's chest, feeling the brunette's heart race through her thin shirt.

"sorry?"

"i can hear your brain thinking, it's very noisy." the blonde replies matter-of-factly, stroking her thumb over jennie's bare neck.

the brunette smiled, thinking back to all the times lisa had said it to her.

flashback to a week after jennie and lisa had met:

jennie sat quietly in the back of the classroom, praying to the lord that the teacher wouldn't call on her for the answer.

math was not her strong suit.

it used be to easier when she went to a normal school, before trainee school where the standards were einstein and shakespeare.

"jennie?"

"huh? sorry, what?"

"ms kim, if you don't stop daydreaming during class, we might have to withdraw your acceptance."

"sorry miss. what was the question?"

"what does f equal if the equation is 3 x f = 9?"

jennie's mind went blank, and she tapped her fingers rapidly on her desk, her beady-eyed teacher staring her down.

she racked her brain for answer.

she heard lisa fidget in the seat next to her, sucking a breath in through her teeth.
