A few days had passed, and Avery now was completely ignoring Annabeth. The girl didn't feel like dealing with the drama though, so after trying to reach out and getting absolutely nothing, Anna gave up. She was going to let Avery get over it on her own, and though it sounded bad, she was going to let the girl come crawling back.

Today happened to be a field trip at school, and Anna really didn't feel like going. Crystal and Alex had decided to skip, and they offered to pick Anna up from school so she could pretend she was there by leaving her car in the parking lot, but she turned them down. She really just wanted to try and finish school by going the rest of the year.

Anna had to dress warm, considering it was freezing outside, raining, and the field trip was not exactly the Florida beach. She was disappointed that they were learning about plants and other things like that on the field trip, but it was better than being stuck in a desk chair for hours. She just would've rather brought a book and stayed on the warm bus.

Anna didn't dress up as much as she would've on a regular school day, considering most of the day was going to be spent on the bus or with dirt

Anna didn't dress up as much as she would've on a regular school day, considering most of the day was going to be spent on the bus or with dirt. She did not feel like getting any of her nice clothes dirty. They were lucky she even agreed to going, if only she hadn't cared about school, she never would've agreed to the field trip.

"Annabeth?" She heard, causing her to turn around.

"Do I know you?" Anna asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Oh," The short girl giggled,"I'm Alice, Emmett's sister."

"Nice to meet you." Anna replied, not really caring who the pixie-like girl was.

"This is Jasper," She motioned to the curly haired male,"we were wondering if you'd be riding our bus."

"I don't know," She replied,"I planned to just get on a bus and relax until we got to the dirt."

"Well, you should start getting on the bus then," Alice said, as she grabbed Anna's hand,"You wouldn't want to be left behind."

Anna was actually surprised by how strong Alice was. The girl that looked like she could barely lift ten pounds, had the grip of a grown man. She wasn't hurting Anna, but Anna couldn't exactly get away from her either. She was alsona little shocked at how cold Alice's hand was. It was like she had no blood in her hand, making it as cold as ice; similar to how her hands and feet felt in the winter because of her poor circulation. She was use to it, which was why she always had to wear socks to bed, even if she was wearing shorts and a tank top.

Anyhow, Alice lead Anna on to the bus, and brought her all the way to the back where the rest of the family was sitting. Alice motioned for Anna to sit down, and afterward, she slid into the seat next to her. In the seat beside them, sat Edward and Jasper. Anna knew Edward, since he was the guy that Bella always talked about. He was also the guy that Anna wanted to beat up; she could practically picture herself slamming his head into a wall until it was split open and the contents spilled out — gross, yes, but Edward had pissed her off. Discreetly, Edward winced at the images running through Anna's mind about him.

During the entire ride, Alice talked to Anna about everything she could think of. She even pulled her into a conversation with Jasper. Though Jasper had trouble around most humans because of their blood, Anna didn't seem to be as big of a problem. It was possibly her poor circulation, in which her scent wouldn't be as prominent, or maybe it was because he knew she had a mate, and it was against the vampire law to hurt another vampire's mate.

The entire reason Alice had Anna around, was because she had seen Anna with a vampire in one of her visions. She couldn't see the vampire's face, but she knew because of his skin. She wasn't sure who the vampire was, but she wanted to keep Anna safe, at least until they figured out who the vampire was. It wouldn't be easy though, since Bella was soon going to become a more prominent point in their lives, and she knew it would be very soon.

"Are you going to prom?" Alice asked, causing Anna to frown.

"I didn't plan on it," She replied,"I don't enjoy dressing up for such basic little dances."

"I think you should go," Alice commented,"You always dress so pretty, letting your style tell who you are. I think you could really show off at prom."

"I'll think about it." Anna answered, and Alice grinned.

"We can go pick out dresses this weekend," Alice said,"We've got to be prepared."

Alice hadn't seen a vision about Anna going to prom, but she wanted to get closer to the girl. She wanted to let the girl know that she could trust her. Honestly, she didn't get too many visions about her, but Alice felt like it had something to do with the vampire that was her mate. There was something there, she just didn't know what it was yet.

Edward wasn't happy that Alice was inviting Anna into their lives. He was trying to keep Bella as far away as possible, though it was proving difficult. If Anna was around, things were simply going to get worse before they got better. She would most likely lead Bella straight into their lives, and Edward really didn't want that to happen. He didn't want to make Alice and Jasper anymore mad at him, or Emmett for that matter, but Anna didn't need to get close. Yes, there were visions of a vampire mate, but for all they knew, it could never happen...
