Annabeth smiled to herself, as she watched her sister get excited over the truck Charlie had bought for her. Anna wasn't jealous, no, because Charlie had bought her a car last year. Her car was parked in the driveway right next to Bella's. She hadn't drove it to her mom's, because she didn't want it being messed up by her mom. She also really didn't want her mom trying to force her to use her car to teach Bella to drive.
Anna had a black 1967 Ford Mustang, which Charlie had gotten for a deal from a friend of his. Anna had almost passed out the moment he had handed her the keys, and ever since then she had been treating the car like her baby. Nobody was allowed near it unless she said so, and they would be manhandled if they tried to even touch it without permission, especially if they were in any way dirty.
Anyhow, after Bella recieved her truck, Anna discreetly told her father and Billy that she was heading inside. The girl was exhausted from traveling, especially with anxious Bella. It was never too hectic alone, but Bella made the trip a little more hectic because she was nervous and every little movement of the plane seemed to set off her anxiety.
"Have a good day at school tomorrow, Anna." Billy said, and Anna gave him a sarcastic smile.
Anna was not excited about going to school, not the day after getting home from a long plane ride. She would make sure to get plenty of sleep before school though, and make sure to have enough time to have her thirty minute run before school. Every morning before school, she would run for thirty minutes, then she'd come home, take a shower, get dressed, and have breakfast, before finally heading to school. It was her routine since she was a young girl.
As soon as Anna was in her room, she went to her dresser and grabbed a pair of sweats and a tank top. She then grabbed some underwear, and headed to her bathroom to get a shower. Yes, she would be getting a shower in the morning, but she needed a shower now to try and relax her muscles before trying to get any sleep.
By the time she had finished her shower, the water was getting slightly cooler, meaning she had used most of the hot water. She turned off the water and wrapped her towel around her body, before she grabbed her hairdryer and dried her hair as much as possible. Her hair took quite a bit of work to dry, so normally it'd still be slightly damp by the time her arms became too tired to keep drying it.
Once her hair was mostly dry, she pulled it up into a messy bun on top of her head. She then finished drying her body and slipped on her clean clothes. She tossed her dirty clothes into her hamper, and headed into her room to throw herself on to her bed to get some sleep. It didn't go as planned though, because ten minutes later, a knock was heard on her door.
"Anna," She heard, making her silently groan, as she stood up and went to the door and opened it,"Bells and I are heading to the diner for dinner. You wanna come?"
"I'm exhausted," She replied,"but I'd really appreciate some food brought home to me." She added, giving him an innocent smile.
"Five cheese pasta and bread sticks?" He asked, and she nodded.
"You know it." She answered, causing him to chuckle.
"We'll be back later," He said,"You should get some rest. You look like you're going to pass out on your feet."
"Gee, thanks, Dad." She retorted, and he rolled his eyes.
"Want me to wake you up for food?" He asked, making her nod.
"I should eat, since I haven't eaten all day." She said, causing him to nod as well.
Charlie left a couple moments later, and Anna went over to her bed and laid down. She was exhausted, but she knew within an hour her father would be waking her up for dinner. She was just glad that he and Bella didn't get upset over her not going to dinner with them. They need more bonding time she told herself, hoping they'd get less awkward around each other. Honestly, Bella was just like Charlie when it came to being awkward, and Anna was so glad she wasn't like that herself.
Since she knew she'd be waking up soon anyway, Anna decided to send a group text out, letting her friends know she was in town, and would be attending Forks High School tomorrow. She had three good friends from her childhood; Crystal, Alex, and Avery. Avery lived on the rez, and was the older sister of Jacob's best friend, Embry.
'Hey guys! I just got to Forks a couple hours ago. I'm exhausted, so I can't hangout today. I'll be at Forks HS tomorrow though, and will be completely my Senior year there.'
It didn't take long for her to recieve messages back from her friends. Avery was first, then Crystal, and finally Alex.
'Are you still running in the morning? Can I tag along? I'll meet you in your driveway?'
'Yes girl! I needed you here, Senior year was not it, but now it will be!'
'I knew you'd eventually switch to Forks HS. I just didn't think it'd be in the middle of Senior year.'
She left Alex and Crystal's messages at that, but she quickly texted back Avery.
'6:30 am! Don't be late, I'm running until 7!'
Avery sometimes tagged along, and she was quite fit, just like Anna. She was the one who encouraged Anna when she wanted to be active and start running. Anna and Avery were really close, so often times Avery would have sleepovers with Anna when they were younger. She was the one Anna told first about her interest in running...
