Annabeth jumped when her door busted open, and she pulled her eye mask off of her face. She looked at Bella with squinted eyes, wondering why she had woken her up from a nice sleep. If Bella really wanted to be that much of a pain, she could've just bothered Anna the next morning before school.

"What do you want?" Anna asked, her voice raspy from sleep.

"Come with me, quick." Bella replied, causing Anna to groan.

Anna threw the blanket off of her legs and headed out of the room with Bella.

"What happened to the shirt that went with those shorts?" Bella asked, causing Anna to smirk.

"It was too pink, so I tossed it and decided I liked my band tee better." Anna answered, and Bella chuckled.

"You seen Edward with his family before the accident, right?" Bella asked, and Anna nodded

"You seen Edward with his family before the accident, right?" Bella asked, and Anna nodded.

"Yeah, it was like he was gone in a second to your side, and the strength he had with that van..."

"Anna, I think I know what they are." She aaid, making Anna frown.

Bella pointed to the screen of her computer, and Anna read the word Vampire. Bella believed the Cullens were vampires, and Anna really didn't know what to believe.

"How can you be sure?"

"Besides the two things you saw with your own eyes, his skin...it was ice cold. He has a special diet, where he can't eat any of the food. Him and the family keep to themselves. They're all pale, with the same colored eyes, but they're adopted, so it wouldn't make sense. Then, the other day I invited Edward to La Push, and he said he couldn't go, and Jake mentioned a legend about the cold ones. Anna, the Cullens are vampires, more specifically, the cold ones." Bella explained, and Anna sighed shakily.

"What exactly are we supposed to do with this information?" Anna asked, causing Bella to look over at her.

"I'm going to confront him," Bella replied,"I have to, I want answers."

"Are you sure that's a good idea?"

"Nothing will happen, I promise." Bella answered, and Anna sighed.

"Fine, but be careful," She replied,"Now, I'm going back to bed."

Anna groaned, as she laid down in bed, and covered her eyes again. She knew her mind was going to be full for the entire night, and she probably wouldn't get much sleep. It took her hours to fall asleep, or at least what felt like hours, when the truth was it was only thirty minutes.

**dream**

Anna was confused, as she woke up in the middle of the woods. It was barely light out, meaning the sun wasn't even poking over the horizon yet. She was still in her pajamas, but for some reason, she wasn't cold. She felt fine, as though she was simply sitting in her room.

"Hello?" Anna called out, when she heard what sounded like footsteps.

"Hello," A voice replied, before a blonde man stepped into view,"What are you doing out here?"

"I don't know," She replied,"I was asleep in my room, then I was out here...I don't know what happened."

"Peculiar," He murmured,"and you believe you are still asleep?"

"I would think so," She said,"I mean, I'm not freezing right now. I'm comfortable, which would mean I have to be asleep."

"Unless..." He trailed off,"Unless you are dead. That would explain a lot."

"If I died in my sleep maybe, but I really doubt that. It would definitely be an ironic way for me to go." She answered, making the man narrow his eyes slightly.

The man watched her for a moment, before it was like a blink of an eye, that he was right in front of her instead of some space away from her. Anna felt herself jump back, and her heart began to beat rapidly in her chest.

"Interesting," The man murmured,"it seems you have a gift, little human. You're still asleep, yet here you stand...in front of me, as though you were really here."

"You're one of them..."

"One of what, hmm?" He questioned, a teasing tone in his voice.

"A vampire." Her voice barely audible, and a smirk made its way to his face.

"Perhaps," He replied,"but you don't need to worry, little human," He cooed,"I would never hurt you."

"Why? Who are you?" She questioned, but her sight was fading, meaning she was waking up.

"What is yours?" He retorted,"I do not give just anyone my name, think of it as a sort of leverage."

"Annabeth," She murmured, feeling her body become hazy.

"I am James," The man replied, giving her a wicked grin, and in that moment, she could really see his red eyes.

She felt afraid, yes, but something was telling her not to be. She wasn't sure what it was but something was telling her she didn't need to be afraid of him. As her body slowly became almost ghost-like, she could've swore she heard him say something. She couldn't be sure, and she wasn't sure she'd ever see him again, but she thought she heard his voice as she faded away.

"My lovely Anna..."

**end of dream**

Anna felt as though she had been hit by a truck. Her head was pounding, and she wasn't sure what had caused it. She wondered if whatever happened in her dream had caused her to have a headache. She was a bit scared of the dream, and she really wondered if it was real, or if it was truly a dream like she had believed.

She went to sit up in bed to get ready for her run, but a severe pain ran through her head. With a groan, she laid back down and pulled the eye mask over her eyes. The light in her room felt like it was piercing her brain with hot iron. Today she'd really have to take a skip day, but she hoped like hell another dream like this wouldn't happen again, because she couldn't handle more headaches like this one...
