Annabeth did her best to ignore the Cullen family. Why? Well, she could tell that Bella was practically enamored by them, and Anna didn't want to cut her way into that. Bella never really had the easiest time making friends, mostly because she was so shy and awkward, but Anna didn't have that problem.

Bella had agreed to go shopping with Jessica and Angela for prom dresses, and they had offered to bring Anna. Anna had declined the offer, but there was a small voice in her head telling her that Jessica only wanted her to go because she wanted to be seen with someone who was older and considered "cool."

Alice had tried to get Anna's attention for the last two days, but Anna just wouldn't let that happen. She would always have an excuse for running off, and Alice didn't want to cause a scene to get Anna's attention. They already had enough people gawking at them, especially now that they were letting the Swan girls into their little circle.

Because she was trying so hard to get away from Alice, she was also pulling herself away from Emmett. He wasn't very happy about it, since he considered her a friend, but she really wanted to do what was best for Bella. She was normally the person who only cared about herself, but she really felt like this was something she needed to do for Bella.

In two days, Anna was planning to go out with Alex and Crystal to shop for prom. Anna wasn't going to prom, she refused, but she was going to help her best friends get ready for it. She would even pay some if they didn't have enough to cover whatever they wanted to wear. She wanted them to be the best dressed seniors at the prom.

The girl still hadn't heard from Avery, but she was starting to just not care about it anymore. She was tired of Avery's attitude and mannerisms, and she wasn't going to let it ruin her happiness anymore. Charlie had asked about Avery, considering he was use to her being around a lot whenever Anna was around, but Anna told him the truth. She got angry and started ignoring Anna, and she hadn't gotten over whatever was bothering her mind.

Since Anna had an appointment with the dentist, she had decided to just take the rest of the day off school. She had no reason to be there for only half a day, but she knew she could pick up her work she had missed the next day. Even though she wasn't going to school, she still dressed somewhat nice, because she planned to go to Port Angeles after the dentist.

As soon as she was finished at the dentist, she hopped into her car and drove straight to Port Angeles

As soon as she was finished at the dentist, she hopped into her car and drove straight to Port Angeles. She wanted to get a couple new outfits, since she felt like she needed the little bit of retail therapy. She wasn't huge on going out and spending lots of money, but sometimes buying an outfit or two helped her feel a little better. Sometimes the little bit of spending made her feel like a new person.

The moment she was outside of a store that looked like a place that would have her type of clothes, she started to feel a bit happy. She headed inside, and the first place she went to was the shirts. She found about three or four shirts that she really wanted, and she decided she'd get them. She also picked out two pairs of pants, a pair of boots, and a new belt. She often wore her belts until they fell apart, which was why she had decided to get the belt this time, otherwise she would've passed it up.

Once she had everything she wanted, she went to the front and paid, before she carried the bags out to her car. She popped the trunk and set the bags down gently. She then closed the trunk, and decided to walk across the street and get a coffee and a coconut donut. After grabbing the coffee and donut, she headed back out to her car, and quickly ate the donut, before dusting off her hands and hopping back into her car. She'd most likely stop somewhere for lunch before heading home.

James, Victoria, and Laurent were stalking through the woods, headed closer and closer to Forks. While heading through Port Angeles, James caught a scent. The scent, to James, was alluring and drawing him to follow. He had never caught a scent that caused him to stop in his tracks before. He had to know what the scent was; who the scent was attached to.

"Smell that?" He asked, causing his two Coven mates to look over at him.

"Smells delicious, my love." Victoria replied, but for some reason, those words didn't sound right to James.

James growled at Victoria, giving her a deadly glare. The vampire woman looked at him with a look of shock and confusion. Never had he growled at her over a scent before; it was food, and the two always loved to taunt their food, much to Laurent's dismay.

"What is your problem?" She sneered, making James harden his glare.

"Stay away from the scent," James snapped,"I mean it."

"Is there something bothering you, James?" Laurent asked, as he observed the blonde.

"I don't know," James answered,"but if you follow that scent, I will kill you." He added, as he looked over at Victoria.

The redhead growled, feeling very angry with the way James was acting towards her. There was absolutely no reason for him to be this way over a scent of some food in town. She knew he'd follow the scent, and rather he wanted her to or not, she would, too. She would find who the scent belonged to, and she would bring them to James; or if he was still being snappy and threatening death upon her, she may just kill the human herself, beat him to the punch...
