Annabeth made sure she didn't take too long in the shower, since she was taking Avery home, then going to school. Even though she wasn't the biggest fan of school, she still didn't want to be late. The lecture for being late was truly not worth it, she knew that for a fact.

Anyhow, once she was finished showering, she stepped out of the shower and wrapped a towel around her body. She patted her hair with another towel to get some of the excess water out, before she plugged in her hairdryer and blow dried her hair. Since it was still slightly damn, she decided to spray it with heat safety spray, before quickly straightening it with a little curl at the end.

As soon as her hair was done, she quickly dried her body and put on her underwear. She then put some lotion on, one that made her feel extra confident. She let the lotion dry for a moment, before slipping on her clothes, and putting on just a little makeup. Once she was completely dressed, she put a little of her favorite perfume on, and smiled at herself in the mirror.

"You took your time, we've got to go

"You took your time, we've got to go." Avery commented, causing the girl to smirk.

"Let's go," She replied,"I put my schoolbag in the car last night, just incase I was running late."

Avery and Anna went out to Anna's car, and she drove her friend straight to her house. When she got close, Anna seen Embry out on the front porch. She waved at Embry from the front seat, as Avery got out and headed inside. Not a moment later, Anna was peeling out of the driveway to quickly get to school.

Anna had managed to end up right behind Bella on the drive there. She pulled into the parking lot right after Bella, and parked near her. Anna heard someone comment on Bella's truck, and Anna turned and flipped them the bird.

"I wish I could be as confident as you," Bella murmured, as she watched her sister walk with her head held high,"I wish I could dress like you and feel confident."

"You just have to love yourself, and not give a damn about anyone else, then you'll feel confident," Anna replied,"But, when it comes to the way I'm dressed, I'm unique. No one's like me, so I wear it confidently and gracefully. I like what I wear, why give a damn about what someone else thinks?"

Anna was met by Crystal and Alex on the way to the office. She grabbed her things from the lady in the office, before her friends offered to take her to her classes. She turned to Bella, but the little sister simply waved her off with a small smile, telling her that she'd be fine on her own.

"First class," Crystal motioned to the classroom,"Math."

The tables held sets of two people, so Anna sat at the table behind her friends. They had already been sitting there before, and the one behind them had one free seat. Anna was glad the teacher didn't make her stand in the front and talk about herself, she didn't want to be hounded on the first day about herself.

Barely a minute before the late bell rang, a very tall, pale, bear-sized boy walked into the room. He held a blank expression on his face, but when he seen someone sitting at his table, his expression lightened slightly. He didn't want to scare her, considering he knew the girl was new. Besides, when they had partner work, he and the girl would have to work together, and he didn't want her hating him before that.

"Hi, I'm Emmett." The boy said, as he sat down.

"Annabeth," The girl replied,"but please, call me Anna."

"Not Beth?"

"I'm not really a fan of it." She answered, and he nodded.

"Alright, I get that," He smirked,"Annie."

She scowled, but he could see the amusement behind her glare.

"Today class, we'll be going over the quadratic formula once more before your test tomorrow," The teacher then turned to Anna,"Ms. Swan, if you do not feel like you can complete the test, you can be exempt," She said,"or, if Mr. Cullen is comfortable enough with the information, he can help you get ready for the test."

"I've got it, Mrs. K." Emmett replied, giving her a big grin.

Emmett was always one to make all the teachers like him, that way he could get special treatment if he ever needed it. He didn't, but it didn't hurt being liked by all the teachers.

"You want my notes?" Emmett asked, and Anna nodded.

"Yeah, I'll just copy them down. I'm really good at learning things from writing them one time." She replied, as he handed her his notebook.

Anna was honestly surprised at how well his handwriting looked. Most guys didn't have nice handwriting, but Emmett did.

"Why'd you move to Forks?" He asked, raising an eyebrow,"and don't tell me the weather." He added, causing her to roll her eyes.

"I visit every summer to see my dad and my three best friends," She replied,"my mom and step-dad needed some time together without two teenagers, so Bella and I moved here. Truth be told, I like it here more, it's more quiet and quaint."

"You like vampire movies?" He asked, motioning to her shirt.

"I can't believe you know what movie this is," She laughed quietly,"most people don't. And to answer your question, I love vampire movies. I think this is my favorite vampire movie. I kind of wish it would've showed people actually getting ripped apart, but I guess the parts that were close were good enough."

"You're weird," He laughed, causing the teacher to give him a look,"but I like you. I guess my new math partner isn't bad."

She smirked and rolled her eyes. She hoped there were more people in this school were as chill as Emmett, otherwise she'd only have her friends and absolutely no new ones...
