"What medication will fix this, or help fix this?" Annabeth asked, as her fingers nervously intertwined with each other.

"You'll be put on Nimodipine," Carlisle replied,"it can reduce brain damage caused by bleeding from a burst blood vessel. In theory, it should help reduce any brain damage, as well as give your brain time to heal itself. You will have to try and reduce the amount of stress you're under, otherwise the aneurysm could rupture, and if that happens, there's less of a chance of an easy fix."

"C-could I die?" She questioned, feeling a little more frightened.

"If the aneurysm ruptures and you do not get immediate medical attention..." He sighed,"Look, if you're careful, I'm very hopeful that you'll be fine. Just don't stress so much, and make sure to take your meds."

"Thank you," She murmured,"If it wasn't for you offering to do the scans, I don't know what would've happened to me."

"Not a problem," He replied,"How about you pick up your medication and go home for the day to rest. I'll write you an excuse, okay?"

"Okay," She nodded,"I'll try to get some more sleep. Maybe some sleep will do me some good."

"It always will," He answered, chuckling quietly,"just let me know if you're not getting any better, if the headaches are still there, or if they get worse, okay?" He stood from his seat at his desk,"You can come by the house at any time of the day or night if anything is wrong, or if you have any questions or concerns."

Anna nodded, before Carlisle handed her the prescription for the medication she was going to have to take. Once she had the prescription, she headed out to her car to drive to the pharmacy, which was almost right next to the hospital. She went in and got her prescription filled, before she headed home for the day, like she had promised Carlisle she would do.

When she got home, she was a little surprised to see a car in her driveway. She recognized the car almost immediately though; it was Alex's car. As soon as she parked her car and turned it off, Alex stepped out of his own car. Anna tried to ignore him, as she headed towards the front door, but Alex grabbed her arm and stopped her.

"Wait, talk to me." He said, as she pulled her arm from his hold.

"I have nothing to say to you." She retorted, making him frown.

"Look, I'm sorry about what happened. I just — I didn't even think about what would happen if you two seen me with Avery. Actually, I uh, I never even thought about telling her to forgive you--"

"Forgive me?!" She exclaimed,"News flash! It wasn't me that needed to be forgiven! She was the one that turned her back on me! She was the one who hurt me! She was the one who was mad at me for being sick, and never apologized for overreacting! She's the problem!"

"Anna, you can't hold that against her."

"I can, and I will," She spat,"I will never forgive her, and it seems I really don't need to forgive you either."

"Anna, please," He pleaded,"What do I have to do to make you forgive me?"

"I don't think I'll ever forgive you," She murmured,"Now let me go inside, I need to rest before I get so upset I end up in the damn hospital."

"W-what?" He looked at her with wide eyes,"Anna, what's going on? What's wrong with you?" He asked, desperate for an answer.

"I'm so angry with you," She felt tears prick her eyes,"but I guess you should know..." She trailed off and sighed, trying to hold back the tears,"They found an aneurysm in my brain, and it's slightly bleeding, I guess. Doc gave me meds to fix it, but if I stress too much, I could make it rupture, and I could possibly...I can't even bring myself to say it."

"Oh God, Anna," Alex looked at her with sad eyes,"I'm so sorry, I didn't know. I — am I the reason it's there?" He asked, and she shrugged.

"I don't know," She replied,"I just know that Doc said it's most likely because of stress. I — it started with headaches that were almost blinding, then I went for some brain scans, and I got my results today."

"I'm sorry," He murmured,"I won't bother you again, I promise. I'll make sure that nobody bothers you, okay? I don't — I know you're mad at me, and mad at Avery, but even still, I'll make sure everyone leaves alone. I'm sorry I probably helped cause this."

"Goodbye, Alex," She muttered,"I've got to call Crystal, and figure out a way to tell my dad and Bella."

Alex watched as she walked into her house, and he let a tear slip the moment she was out of eye sight. He didn't mean to hurt her, but Avery was important to him. He was important to Avery, maybe more than Anna would ever understand if he even tried to explain it to her. He just hoped that one day Anna would forgive them, and he really hoped that nothing would happen to her, because even though she was mad at him, he still thought of her as his best friend, and he never wanted to lose his best friend.

Once Anna had gotten to her room, she took one of the capsules out of the bottle and placed it on her tongue, before taking a sip of water to wash it down. As soon as she swallowed it, she kicked off her shoes, and laid down in her bed. She couldn't stop the angry, sad tears from falling after she had climbed into the bed. Her mind was a mess, and she didn't know what to do. She just hoped that she would get better, and that she wouldn't end up dying before her life ever really began...
