Annabeth followed James, as he lead her to an abandoned shack in the middle of the woods. They were near the border of town, but not near the rez. Anna had heard from James that the rez had been off limits to the Cullens, but at this time, he had no idea why. He never bothered to check into it, he just knew because he heard them mention the little fact when he happened to be lurking around.
Anyhow, when James and Anna entered the shack, Anna caught a familiar scent. A second later, Victoria popped out, and James grabbed her. The grip of the force on her neck was so strong that little cracks were forming near his hand. Anna watched with wide eyes, as James growled at the fiery redhead.
"You turned her!" James exclaimed,"I told you she was off limits! I warned you to stay away from her! What part of that did you not understand?!"
"J-James, I was just trying to save you." Victoria replied, completely terrified of the blonde in this very moment.
Never once had she seen him this angry. Sure, he was a little murderous looking when she had talked about Anna, but never this scary. It was like he was a completely different person, and Victoria had no idea how to handle him. She had no idea how to calm him down before he could rip her head off of her body.
"You turned her! How should I believe that you were doing anything to help me?! You did this for your own benefit! You wanted her dead!" James yelled, slamming Victoria's back against the wall.
"You're right, I'm sorry," She replied, "but I did change her to save you. I knew she could save you. She would be the strongest amongst them, and she would get you out. You are her mate, and it's instinct to protect you," She looked between Anna and James with desperate eyes,"I did want her gone, because she stole you from me, but I realized the moment you left to track Bella, that you weren't mine, you never were, you were always hers, and you always would be. I had to do right by you both, protect you both from the pain I knew would be worse than what I was feeling." She rambled, trying to find something that would calm James down.
Anna hated Victoria for turning her into a vampire. She hated the woman for not giving her a choice in the matter, but Victoria's actions helped Anna save James. Victoria turning Anna made Anna stronger, and she was able to save the one person she would always love. The one person who would always love her was safe because of Victoria's greed and jealousy.
"Wait!" Anna exclaimed, stopping James from popping Victoria's head off,"You shouldn't kill her."
"Why?" James questioned,"She turned you against your will. She forced you to be a vampire before you chose to be one. How can I just let her live after that?"
"Even though she was wrong, she did help me save you," Anna replied,"and I think that warrants her at least the chance to live."
"How do we know she won't come after you, now that you have saved me?" He asked,"How do I know she won't hurt you to try and live out her delusional fantasies?"
"I-I won't!" Victoria cried out,"I promise, I won't hurt her. She's safe from me."
"If you still want to punish her, James, think about it," Anna commented,"She will have to live the rest of eternity, knowing she can never have you, and that you were never hers, and you will never be hers. You will always love someone else; never her."
James went quiet for a moment, thinking about what Anna had said. After thinking it over, he realized that she was right. Killing Victoria would only punish her now, but letting her live the rest of her eternity alone would truly be the real punishment. James slowly let go of Victoria, but the woman still stayed as still as a statue. She watched Anna and James with cautious, wide, scared eyes, waiting for them to move or possibly attack her. She almost felt like it was a ploy to get her guard down, just to attack her out of spite, but neither moved to do so.
"If I ever see you again," James snarled, "I will truly end your miserable existence. Anna won't stop me next time."
Victoria nodded stiffly, showing James that she understood what he was saying. Once she had nodded, James turned to Anna and the two locked eyes for a moment, before they disappeared from Victoria's sight. She had never been that scared in her life, but she knew better than to go against James, or Anna for that matter. If she ever tried, she'd end up dead, and she didn't want to die anytime soon.
"Are you ready to explore the world, my darling?" James asked, looking over at Anna.
"As long as you're with me," Anna smiled at him,"I'll be ready for anything."
Anna and James ran to the border of Forks, and Anna glanced at the 'Welcome to Forks' sign once more, before she and James left the town for good. One day they'd come back, and she hoped that one day she'd see her family again — from the shadows — and see that they had the life she always hoped they would have.
She was truly saying goodbye to Forks, and goodbye to the ones that she loved dearly, but she was with James. He was her world now, her everything, and she would be with him forever. Nothing would ever make her question him. Nothing would ever make her want to leave his side. He was her mate, she was made for him and he was made for her. Their fate had been chosen, but this was a fate Anna would never hate...

A/N: I hope you guys liked this chapter. The final two chapters will most likely be shorter, but they're simply to tie up any loose ends I feel need tied up. The final chapter will give a little more sweetness and such for James and Anna's relationship.
Love you guys!
