Annabeth and James had enjoyed quite a bit of the world. He took her to France, to England, to Poland, to Switzerland, to Finland, and so many other places. They had even enjoyed some time in Jamaica, but most of that time was enjoyed at night. At this time, James had gotten contacts to make them seem normal, though they were still draining townspeople.

The one place Anna really wanted to visit was Brazil, since she had wanted to see the statue Bam Margera had visited in Viva La Bam. The statue was just a huge statue of Jesus, but still, it was pretty epic and Anna had really wanted to see it. The girl had to wait until a day it was raining, but she thoroughly enjoyed the sight. James simply liked making her happy; he didn't really care about all the sight seeing, he had seen it all before.

After a year had passed, Anna was no longer feeling as sad about her family and friends. Matter of fact, she really wasn't thinking about them much at all. She was enjoying her time with James, and she wondered if one day they'd have their own Coven, much like James had before the Bella fiasco.

Since Anna had wanted to travel and see so many different things, James had the idea to bring her to New Orleans during Mardi Gras. Mardi Gras was the perfect time to pick their prey, considering everyone was too drunk to notice that there were people disappearing and being drained of blood behind buildings.

"I've always wanted to go to Mardi Gras," Anna commented,"but I thought that chance was over when I found out about my aneurysm."

"Well, my darling, I will make your dream come true," He replied,"this will be the best time of your life, and you'll get to indulge yourself more than you've ever been able to before."

"I love you." She said, wrapping her arms around his shoulders, a grin evident on her face.

"As I love you, my beautiful Anna." He murmured, planting a kiss on her lips.

"Should we dress up?" Anna asked, "Maybe act like a part of the crowd?"

"Is that what you wish?" He questioned, but she shook her head.

"I'd rather stay in the background." She replied, making him chuckle.

"Well, we ought to get a new outfit," He said,"ours are a little dated." He added, mentioning the fact that they hadn't gotten a new outfit in a while.

He never forced her to dress up for him. He thought she was the most beautiful woman in the world, no matter what she was wearing. When she did dress up though, meaning a fitted top instead of her more baggy tops, or leather pants instead of jeans, it was hard for James to keep his hands to himself.

Something about today was different though, but Anna couldn't quite put her finger on it

Something about today was different though, but Anna couldn't quite put her finger on it. James kept his arm securely wrapped around her waist, as he held her close to his body. The sun was down at this point, and most of the humans were beyond drunk. Everyone was partying and the music was very loud.

"Should we find our first meal, darling?" James asked, and Anna nodded with a smirk.

James allowed Anna to choose their victim; a beautiful brunette with green eyes and tan skin. Anna introduced herself first, then James, and with the human being so drunk, she didn't question why Anna and James were leading her away from the party. Anna was the first to sink her teeth into the human, and James followed shortly after.

Once the human was drained of blood, they dropped the body on the ground and shoved it behind a dumpster. She would be found in a few days when her corpse began to stink. James looked over at Anna, and his eyes filled with lust at the sight of the blood on her lips, and the light trail that went from her lips to her chin.

In that moment, he knew what he wanted to do. He would have her forever, she was his mate, but there was just something about the little human tradition that he wanted to do. Pulling the little red box from his pocket, he grasped her hand and smirked at her.

"My beautiful Anna, my mate, my love," He opened the box, and showed her a beautiful ring, causing her to gasp,"Since we are not human, this tradition shall be different. From this moment on, as you wear this ring, you are my wife, and I, your husband. This ring is the symbol of our eternity, and the love I will always carry for you," He held the ring out to her,"Annabeth, will you promise your eternity to me, as I promise mine to you?"

"Yes," She murmured, and he slid the ring on her finger,"I love you." She added, as she wrapped her arms around him.

"And I love you." He replied, playfully running his tongue from her chin to her lips, cleaning the blood from her skin.

Anna had never believed that she would marry a man that would promise her eternity. She also hadn't believed she would be a vampire, but here she was, a vampire that shined in the sun. She loved how powerful she was, and how she and her mate could scare anyone with a simple look of their eyes.

Anna looked down at her beautiful ring, and promised herself she'd never think of the negatives. She'd forget her past, and only focus on the present and future. She and James had forever, and she would enjoy their forever. She would forever hold a place in her heart for the ones she loved, but she loved no one as much as she loved James. James would let the world burn for her, and she would burn the world for him. They were two halves of the same soul, and they would always have each other, always be with each other, and forever be as one...
