Gianna's Point Of View
My ears filtered in on the constant beeping that surrounded me before my eyes fluttered open, taking in the dark room. My head ached terribly, along with the sharp pain in my chest each time I inhaled.
I rubbed my eyes slightly, taking in more of the room. The room was filled with tall, brown cabinets, a sink, a TV displaying the Food Network channel, and a couch that lined the wall under the window, where my girlfriend was, bundled up in blankets.
Or ex-girlfriend.
I tried my best to sit up, but the pain only multiplied, causing whimpers from my mouth. Eden's body shot up from the couch, her eyes immediately pinning on me.
"Gianna," was all she said before she stood from the couch and walked over to me. "Are you okay? Do you need anything?"
I shook my head no before opening my arms for her, wincing in pain with each movement. She leaned over the bed, wrapping her arms around me. Everything felt right between us.
" You found me," I whispered, my voice raspy and my throat dry.
Pulling back, she said," I will always find you," before her soft lips met mine. " I'm so sorry, baby."
Her warm hands met my face. "None of it was your fault. I was just so overwhelmed, and I just needed someone to take it out on, and I'm so sorry," she said, her dark eyes holding mine.
Her eyes grew glossy, and she began to bite the inside of her cheek, " Don't ever leave me again, please."
"I'm not going anywhere, baby," I told her, caressing her cheeks as the tears rolled down her face. "It's okay, baby," I said, guiding her into bed with me.
She lay with her back pressed against me, and I stroked her hair. Her shoulders bounced up and down as she cried, and all I could do was hold her.
"I love you, Eden," I told her, kissing the top of her head. "I am in love with you, and how protective you are, and how strong you are."
"But it's okay not to be those things all the time."
"I couldn't protect you, and I'm so sorry," her words came out broken.
"Eden, I'm okay, baby," I told her, holding her body closer to mine. "Are you okay?"
"Now that you both are safe," She sniffled. "All I've ever wanted was to keep you safe, baby."
"I am, now that I'm with you," I assured her, stroking her hair.
" I'm never letting you out of my sight again," She sighed, forcing soft chuckles from my lips.
"And I'm never letting you out of mine."
I gave her a soft kiss on her forehead, wincing in pain as I bent my torso. She sat up at the sound, glancing over every inch of me.
"What hurts?"She asked, holding my gaze.
"My chest," I said softly. "But Eden, I'm fine."
"I'm going to fucking hurt her for hurting you," She said, standing from the bed.
Does she already know everything?
I don't want her to hurt her own sister.
"Eden, wait-"
"No, I'm gonna hurt Raine," She said, pacing back and forth, her expensive shoes echoing on the floor.
I sighed in relief, watching her eyebrows knit further together. "No, I'm going to kill her," she declared, stopping in place.
