//CHAPTER 13.4

Orange

For in the twisted dance of fate,

Sometimes the one despised,

Will hold the key to salvation.

Surrender to the paradox of trust.

Warning: uh......needles??? Does that count?

Orange regretted telling Blue anything. He wanted Blue to understand, to realize that the humans were not enemies, but Blue hadn't even let him finish speaking.

Orange had to get back to Elise. She was somewhere out there, alone with Cyan. Orange had hoped that Blue would help them out, but he seemed determined to not listen.

He knew this would happen. This was why he had never tried opening up to the others before. They wouldn't listen.

Orange could talk all he wanted, and they might hear him.

But they wouldn't listen.

He continued to squirm as Blue carried him back towards the Playplace. He couldn't go back, not yet. He had to find a way back.

Yet all of his attempts proved futile as Blue continued to haul him away. Orange tried to look up at Blue's face, but Blue was staring straight ahead. Orange was beginning to feel an immense pain in his chest area as Blue continued to squeeze him.

Orange tried to loosen Blue's grip, but he wouldn't budge. His expression looked closed off, cold, as he gripped Orange.

"Red will get you fixed up, and then you won't be talking like that." Blue muttered.

It was a completely innocent statement, yet it still sent shivers down Orange's spine. Somehow he couldn't help but imagine that "fix" wasn't referring to his physical injuries.

"Blue, I-I can't go back there. Not with him." Orange grunted, his voice sore and ragged. He tried to dig his claws into Blue's arm, but Blue wrestled him around until the bigger monster was pinning Orange's arms to the side.

"Just let us help you, please." Blue said. Orange turned his head back around to glare at Blue.

"No! You don't understand Blue, if you would just let me finish-" Orange found himself stuttering as he tried to put his roaring thoughts into words. He was starting to feel the sharp pain of his wound, but he didn't let it distract him.

Blue glared right back at Orange with his one eye narrowed. "Orange, stop." He growled deeply, to which Orange fell silent.

Orange tried to shake Blue's arms off of himself again, but it was still no use. He could feel himself growing weaker. "You don't understand." Orange rasped quietly. By now, he was practically desperate to escape.

Blue shook his head again, his expression still stony cold.

It seemed that Blue would not be giving in anytime soon, which meant that Orange would need to wait until he had a chance to get away.

If Blue didn't want to listen to him, then he would just have to figure things out by himself.

The rest of the walk back was silent. Orange could hear his own ragged breathing and Blue's loud steps as they both refused to speak or even look at each other. Orange could still feel the horrible pain in his chest.
