HEY GUYS!
I know that it's been almost an entire month since the last post, but I got caught up with other things until about last week.
Then I decided to wait to post until today because it's a very special day today....
It's the 1st Anniversary of this story!
Yes! Today! Exactly one year ago, I posted the first chapter on this story. So I thought, why not post the last chapter today as well?
So without further ado, I give you another chapter for the very last time.
Please enjoy my colorful friends! <3 <3 <3

//CHAPTER 18-ish
Orangutan
Yesterday brought the beginning,
Today brings the end.
Though somewhere in the middle,
We became the best of friends.

Orange sighed as he shifted, trying to get comfortable on the cold ground. Although the sun was shining, a slight breeze had picked up. While it wasn't much, it was still enough to prevent Orange from getting very warm.
He looked down at the messily wrapped bandages around his waist, frowning. Without Red, the wound was sure to get infected, if it wasn't already. There were other bandages scattered around his body, and Orange assumed that they were there for a reason.
Of course, that could also be a mystery, as the only Rainbow Friend with medical knowledge was Red. They would need to figure something out soon.
It was honestly a miracle that he and Elise had survived. They had been stuck in that basement with Red for much longer than Orange intended, and had almost gotten cooked alive as a consequence.
Yet as much as he wanted to find some way for himself to get proper treatment, there were still more pressing matters at the moment.
For one, the Playplace was in absolute shambles.
Whatever that explosive had done, it had somehow hit the supports of the building, and it had entirely collapsed in on itself before the fires had even gone out. Perhaps the disaster was also caused by the old age of the building, which hadn't had proper maintenance done in years.
Yellow was flying around, gathering whatever he could recover from the wreckage. After Elise had told all of the other Rainbow Friends about what happened with Red (using the communicator which she now wore around her wrist), he had instantly flown in, searching for the scientist.
When he had left, Elise and Orange had glanced at each other knowingly. They had seen him die.
While Orange felt an overwhelming sense of relief that he was finally gone, it hardly occurred to him that the others would take it much harder. While Red hadn't been a good person, he was still all they had for a while.
As Yellow continued to take little objects from the rubble and place them in a pile, Orange stood up with a pained grunt and made his way over to Green. The others had told him to rest, but there was so much going on, so much to catch up on...he just couldn't, and he didn't care if he was going to suffer later because of it.
Green was sitting on the ground, his arms still wrapped tightly around Purple. The latter was still in his Predator Form, and it was starting to scare Orange. No one had said anything to him about that yet, and he wanted to know what was going on.
