Master Plan (Part 1/5)

Hello guys! I'm still alive.

Uh..I have the next chapter for you.

//CHAPTER 15.1

Blue

Warning: Swearing 🤬  (don't worry guys, there will be plenty of violence later)

As Blue approached the laboratory, he hoped that Orange would be awake. Although he felt guilty confronting the smaller monster so soon after his injury, he needed to know what had happened.

If Orange had tried to save the human...then did it mean he hadn't been speaking nonsense earlier?

Did it mean that he had been telling the truth?

Blue hoped not. Because the truth...it was too much. He wished that Orange hadn't told him. He should've kept it to himself.

Blue hesitated outside of Red's lab, thinking to himself.

The last time he had come here looking for answers, Red had refused him any information.

Maybe...Red had been trying to spare him.

As Blue realized this, he stepped backwards. All of this time, was Red just trying to protect him and the others?

He thought about how Red had given Green his glasses, how he had made that harness for Yellow, and how he made the collar for Orange, all to keep them safe.

Suddenly he felt guilty for not trusting Red fully. Of course Red had been right.

Red was always right.

Blue steeled himself and knocked on the door. He could think about that later, there were more pressing matters at the moment.

There was some shuffling around inside, and a muffled voice.

Suddenly, the door flew open, and Blue was greeted by a very pissed Red.

"You. Come in." The scientist said curtly. Blue hesitated, taken aback by his tone. It was very unlike him, as he was usually so calm and collected.

"Red? Is everything okay?"

"In. Now."

Blue stepped inside obediently, confused and a little scared about what could have upset Red so badly.

"What's going on?" He asked once he was inside of the lab. "Is Orange okay?"

Red closed the lab door and brushed past him, not answering for a moment. He stopped with his back to Blue. The tension was thick as Blue desperately waited for a response.

"No. He's not."

Blue stood there, frozen. His heart skipped a beat as he felt a rush of fear.

"What-" He started, but Red cut him off.

"The little bastard is gone." Red said, and Blue looked behind him to see an empty bed. The sheets had been thrown back, and there was no sign of the occupant that had supposedly been asleep on it earlier.

Blue quickly turned to look at Red, "What do you mean gone?"

Red glared at Blue out of the corner of his eye, the anger practically radiating off of him "He's missing you damn idiot."

Blue ignored his language, feeling a rush of relief as he realized that Orange wasn't dead, but then realized exactly what Red had said.

"Missing?! Did he run away?" Blue asked, to which Red shook his head angrily.

"I don't know."

Blue was silent for a minute, thinking about what this meant. Why would Orange run away?

Then he realized.

Orange went back to OddWorld.

Blue would have paled, but one could hardly tell with his bright color. "I think I know where he went, Red."

The scientist whipped his head around to look at Blue.

"Then why are you fucking standing there?! Go find him!" Red shouted harshly at Blue.

Blue stepped back, surprised and a little scared for a moment. Red never yelled.

Something wasn't right.

Blue wanted to ask what was wrong, if something else had happened, but he was scared that Red would just snap at him again.

"I- okay..." Blue said, not quite sure how to respond.

As he turned to leave, he could feel Red's furious gaze on his back. Blue pressed the button to open the door, and didn't dare to look back as he left.

Red was just...scared for Orange.

That had to be it.

So why did Blue sense something much more...sinister about him?

As Blue headed for the exit to the playplace, he knew that he was missing something. He had many questions. Why would Orange do this?

Why didn't Orange trust Red?

And more importantly...

Should he put his trust in Red?

Yippee! Another chapter done (sorry it's a tad short, but it was necessary for the spacing and stuff)

From here on out...no more mercy for these guys.
