Jack stood in the center of Newsies Square, chatting with Mush as they awaited the headline to be posted. "God I really hope it's a good story today," Mush sighed. "I mean if it's another Doozy I don't think we'll be eatin good this week" (betcha dinner it's a doozy 'bout a pistol packin floozy <whats that even mean?>)

Jack nodded, "yea I mean, nobody can top *our* headline." He smiled, recalling the paper Katherine wrote them.. 'Newsies Stop The World'

His thoughts were interrupted by Davey walking up to him with Les. Jack faced Davey, and he saw Mush walk off out of the corner of his eye. "What's up, Dave?"

Davey smiled, god what a gorgeous face he had.. Jack could stare at it forever, it was all he ever needed in life. "Well I was wondering, Cowboy," Jack heart fluttered, he loved it when Davey called him nicknames. "If that contract with you as our sellin partner was still valid?" He swayed back and forth on his feet, waiting for a reply

Jack thought for a moment, "I suppose it could use a .... A uh.. what do you call it?" "A renewal? An amendment?" Davey suggested.

"Yea whatever." Jack shrugged. "How about.. I'm your sellin partner and we split what we earn 50/50." A few Newsies had gathered when they heard about the renewal. Not because they particularly cared, but there's not much else to do and watching Jack Kelly is always interesting. A few looked shocked at the suggestion of 50/50, Jack never split evenly.

Les stared up at Davey, and Davey shook his head. "Come on Jack, I don't want to be burden."

"You ain't, it's just fair is all." Jack smiled at him.

Davey caved, "ok.. 50/50 then, it's a deal!"

"Deal!" Jack raised his hand up and got ready to spit before Davey grabbed his wrist.

"Noo. No spit please. I don't want your spit on my hand, I don't want my spit on my hand. That's gross." Davey squirmed.

Jack stared, "that's business. That's how you know the deal is sealed."

Davey looked at him. "Does it have to involve saliva?"

Jack nodded, "Yes. That's just part of doing business."

Davey stood for a moment, thinking, before looking back up at Jack. He bit his lip and stared mischievously at Jack before stepping forward and whispering slowly into Jack ear, "I'll swallow it."

Jack shivered and went beet red, "DAVEY!" He stuttered out. "I- you- the- uh... what!"

Davey smiled against Jack's neck and whispered, "so we'll finish this tonight then?" He gave Jacks neck a quick kiss right below the ear, and pulled away from Jack. He shook Jack's hand, "Mk so that's settled, yea?"

The Newsies around looked confusingly from Jack to Davey, wondering what on earth that was about.

-time skip-

Davey stood in Jack's room at Medda's, watching Jack as he sat down on the bed with a sigh.

"Jackie," David said sweetly, "you're forgetting something."

Jack looked up at him confused, "What?"

"We never finished sealing the deal from earlier." Davey looked at him with such innocent eyes and Jack started turning pink.

"Wha- what." Jack stuttered out.

Davey laughed and walked up to Jack, "you said that to seal a deal you need to involve spit, yea?"

Jack blushed, "yea. Thats why we do the handshake."

Davey climbed into Jacks lap, staring deeply into his brown eyes before saying softly. "And I said I'd swallow it."

Jack turned a darker red and sputtered out a small, "huh?"

Davey chuckled, leaning towards Jack's ear. "I said," he almost whispered, "I'll. Swallow. It."

Jack shivered again, "the... the-"

"Yes" Davey traced Jack's jawline softly

Jack made a small humming sound in agreement and brought David's face closer to his, until their lips met. It was a pretty heavy kiss, both breathing fast and uneven. Davey slipped his tongue into the others mouth, Jack doing the same. They both kissed as if it was their last night before they wouldn't see each other ever again, as if their lives depended on it. It was a hungry, sloppy, eventually slow kiss. (Lord save my soul)

After a few minutes of pure bliss, Davey disconnected them. A strand of Saliva strung in the air between them before breaking, leaving Davey satisfied with his work. He looked Jack in the eyes and made a show out of swallowing what was left of the kiss.

"There, sealed." He smirked,

Jack was still catching his breath. "God. Davey." He panted, "you drive me so... so crazy. In the best way possible." Jack smiled at him.
