In which Romeo is a dumbass and gets hurt

Also I don't feel like proofreading before publishing so if it's bad... no it isn't

Romeo coughed, clutching his ribs as pain shot through his body. God he was in so much trouble now.

He dragged himself up against the nearest brick wall and scoured his surroundings. It seemed he was in an alley not far from some selling points, and, guessing from all the bruises, scratches, and cuts, his best bet was probably to wait for someone to find him. And with that he felt himself nod off.

"Romeo? Romeo! Are you ok?!" A familiar voice rang in his ear. Slowly he opened his eyes, trying to register who was talking to him. "Romeo! I was so worried."

Romeo blinked, "where- oh yea.." the memories flooded back to him and he pressed his hand to his forehead, wincing as a cut in his arm stung. He looked up at the person, realizing it was Specs, his friend and totally not crush.

"Dude," Specs sounded really worried, which made Romeo's heart flutter a little. "What happened to you? Wh- never mind. Let's just get you fixed up." He put an arm underneath Romeo's arm and sorta half carried him, half hugged him. They walked together back to the lodging. Even though Romeo was hurt he couldn't help but think about how close they were to each other..

Once in the lodging Specs sat Romeo down on his bed and grabbed a box of first aid. He began to clean a few of the cuts that were bleeding, before bandaging them carefully. Romeo watched intently as Specs squinted his eyes in focus. It was adorable and he felt a small blush form on his face.

"So..." Specs broke the silence, "how did this happen?"

Romeo sighed, a little ashamed. "I was flirtin' with a girl" Romeo noticed that Specs' eyebrows furrowed when he mentioned flirting. "and her man got a bit upset at me..."

Specs laughed, "you gotta be careful, Romeo."

Romeo averted his eyes, but smiled. "I know, I know.." he winced as Specs cleaned one of his wounds.

"Shh, it's ok, it's ok. I'm sorry.." Specs murmured as he continued, Romeo squirming from the stinging sensation. "lift up your shirt,"

Romeo was momentarily stunned, "what?" He looked down and saw the other boy was also quite red in the face.

"I mean- so I can dress the wounds, Romeo!" Specs sputtered as Romeo laughed at him.

"So charming" Romeo teased as Specs rolled his eyes, still noticeably blushing.

Romeo lifted up his shirt and let Specs poke at it and clean it. Though at one point he noticed Specs had turned an interesting shade of red, and it clicked that Specs might reciprocate his feelings.

"Ok, we're all done!" Specs stood up and looked at Romeo who smiled at him,

"you know with those skills you'd make a pretty great boyfriend." Romeo smirked as he watched Specs blush,

Specs struggled to find words "Uhhh... thanks.. I learned it from my time with the church.."

"Oh?" Romeo purred, "what else did they teach you?" He winked.

"Err... to read and write, and speak Latin, and-" Romeo interrupted him "did they ever teach you how to kiss boys?" Specs stopped, completely silent for a moment before managing a small "quite the opposite actually."

Romeo grabbed specs hand, "well it's a great thing you ain't in the church still, isn't it?"

Specs just nodded his head, "di immortales.." he whispered as Romeo pulled him by the vest closer and closer to him. Soon enough the gap between their lips scarce and Romeo connected them into a sweet kiss.

After a short moment the two pulled apart and both were very flustered, unfortunately that doesn't stop Romeo, he really should be stopped though. "Isn't Latin a Romance language? Why don't you tell me something"

Specs thought for a moment, "Quam stultus es, tamen te admo" He lovingly gazed into Romeo's eyes, "Meus Romeus."

Romeo stared at him, "what does that mean? What did you say?" Specs chuckled

"I'll tell you someday.."

I have no idea if Meus Romeus is at all grammatically correct but I don't feel like asking, sooo.... Eh
