The golden California sun dipped towards the horizon, painting the sky in vibrant hues of orange, pink, and purple. Austin and Lucy strolled hand-in-hand along the cool, damp sand of a secluded Malibu beach. The gentle lapping of Pacific waves provided a soothing backdrop to their quiet conversation.

Austin squeezed Lucy's hand gently, turning to face her. "You know, after all the chaos of New York, this feels like coming home, my love."

Lucy's eyes sparkled as she met his gaze. "Really, my heart? You don't miss the bright lights of Broadway?"

"Not one bit, sweetheart," Austin said, his free hand reaching up to tuck a stray strand of hair behind her ear. "You're all the spotlight I need, my darling."

Lucy leaned into his touch, her cheek warm against his palm. "And you're my leading man, my hero. Always have been."

They paused their walk, facing each other as the last rays of sunlight danced across the water. Austin cupped Lucy's face in both hands, his thumbs gently caressing her cheekbones.

"I love you, my angel," he whispered, his voice barely audible above the soft rush of the waves. "More than any stage, any role, any dream I've ever had."

Lucy's breath caught in her throat. She placed her hands over his, her fingers intertwining with his. "I love you too, my sunshine. So much it sometimes feels like my heart might explode."

Their lips met in a tender kiss, soft and sweet, filled with promise and devotion. As they parted, Austin rested his forehead against hers.

"You're the best thing that's ever happened to me, my treasure," he murmured, his breath warm against her skin.

Lucy smiled, her eyes closed as she savored the moment. "And you're the best thing that's ever happened to me, my handsome prince. My talented, kind-hearted California boy."

Austin chuckled softly, pulling back slightly to look into her eyes. "I don't know what I did to deserve you, my queen, but I'm grateful every day."

They resumed their walk, arms wrapped around each other's waists. The cool evening breeze carried the salty scent of the ocean, and Lucy shivered slightly.

Austin immediately pulled her closer. "Cold, my love?"

"A little, my warmth," Lucy admitted. "But I don't want this moment to end."

"Here, my darling," Austin said, shrugging off his jacket and draping it over her shoulders. "Better?"

Lucy snuggled into the warmth of his jacket, inhaling his familiar scent. "Perfect, my hero."

As the last sliver of sun disappeared below the horizon, they found a spot on the sand and sat down, Lucy nestled between Austin's legs, her back against his chest.

Austin wrapped his arms around her, resting his chin on her shoulder. "I could stay like this forever, my soulmate," he whispered.

Lucy turned her head slightly, brushing her lips against his cheek. "Then let's, my forever love," she replied softly. "Let's build our forever, right here in California."

As the first stars began to twinkle in the darkening sky, Austin and Lucy sat entwined, whispering sweet nothings and sharing gentle kisses, their love as vast and endless as the Pacific Ocean before them.
