Arrival at the Apartment

Austin parked his car in front of a bustling college apartment complex, the air filled with laughter and the faint smell of pizza. As he stepped out, he took a moment to soak in the vibrant atmosphere, feeling a mix of nostalgia and excitement. He grabbed his duffel bag and headed toward the entrance, where a sign read, **"Welcome to the Wild Side!"**

Inside, the apartment was alive with energy. The walls were adorned with posters of bands and movies, and the living room was cluttered with video games and snack wrappers. Timmy, Jake, and Tod were sprawled on the couch, laughing at something on the TV.

“Dad!” Timmy exclaimed, jumping up to give Austin a big hug. “You made it!”

“Of course! Ready for a week of fun?” Austin grinned, his eyes twinkling with mischief.

### Reunion

Jake, a tall guy with a mischievous glint in his eye, stood up and extended a hand. “Nice to meet you, Mr. Austin! We’ve heard a lot about you.”

Tod, laid-back with a sarcastic smile, chimed in, “Yeah, mostly about how your cooking is better than ours.”

Austin chuckled, “That’s not saying much!”

After settling in, they all gathered around the coffee table, where a stack of board games awaited. Austin could feel the warmth of their camaraderie, a stark contrast to the loneliness he sometimes felt in his recovery journey.

### First Day of Fun

As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a golden hue through the apartment window, Austin decided to kick off the fun with a prank. He pulled out his phone and sent a text to Timmy, pretending to be his professor.

**Fake Text from the Professor**: *"Timmy, there will be a surprise group project due tomorrow. Be prepared."*

Timmy’s eyes widened as he read the message. “What?! A project? I didn’t even know we had a class today!”

Jake burst into laughter, “Dude, you’re so dead!”

Tod added, “I’d start panicking if I were you!”

Austin couldn’t hold back his laughter. “Relax, it’s just a prank!”

### Prank Escalation

After the initial shock wore off, Timmy joined in on the laughter, shaking his head. “Okay, you got me! But watch out, Dad. I’m going to prank you back!”

Later that evening, Austin decided to pull another prank. He raided the kitchen and swapped Timmy’s favorite chips for kale chips, placing a big bowl of them on the coffee table.

“Snack time!” Austin announced, grinning.

Timmy took a handful and grimaced. “What is this? Rabbit food?”

Jake and Tod burst out laughing, and Austin said, “Healthy choices, son!”

### Bonding Activities

The next day, they decided to go bowling. The neon lights flashed, and the sound of crashing pins filled the air. Austin felt a rush of joy as they played, the friendly competition bringing them closer.

In a moment of inspiration, Austin placed a whoopee cushion on Timmy’s seat before he went to bowl. As Timmy sat down, the loud *fart noise* echoed through the alley, causing everyone to stop and stare.

“Dad!” Timmy exclaimed, half-laughing, half-embarrassed. “Really?”

Jake and Tod were in stitches, and Austin could barely breathe from laughing so hard. “Classic!”

### The Toaster Prank

On the second-to-last day of Austin’s visit, he decided to up the ante with a new prank. In the kitchen, he found the toaster and thought of a clever idea. He grabbed a piece of paper and wrote a sign that read:

**"Voice Activated Toaster - Just Speak Your Order!"**

With a sly grin, he taped the sign to the toaster and called Timmy, Jake, and Tod into the kitchen.

“Hey guys, check this out! This toaster is voice activated now. You just have to talk to it!” Austin said, trying to keep a straight face.

Timmy looked skeptical but intrigued. “Seriously? No way!”

Jake leaned in closer, “Okay, let’s see if it works!”

Timmy cleared his throat dramatically. “Toaster, I’d like some toast, please!”

Nothing happened.

“Maybe it didn’t hear you,” Tod suggested, stifling a laugh.

“Okay, let me try!” Jake chimed in, his voice booming. “Toaster! Toast me some bread!”

Still, nothing.

The three of them began to take turns, each trying different techniques. Timmy resorted to shouting, “TOASTER! MAKE TOAST NOW!” while Jake waved his arms animatedly.

Tod, unable to contain himself, started imitating a robot voice. “Toaster! Initiate toast sequence!”

Austin watched from the side, tears of laughter streaming down his face as the trio grew increasingly frustrated.

“Maybe it needs a password?” Timmy pondered aloud. “How about… ‘Toast me, bro’?”

Finally, after several minutes of hilarious attempts, Austin couldn’t take it anymore. “Guys, it’s just a toaster! It’s not actually voice activated!”

### Jake and Tod Join In

Feeling the spirit of pranking, Jake and Tod decided to get in on the fun. They set up a fake spider in Timmy’s bed, and when he discovered it, his scream echoed through the apartment.

“Nice try, guys!” Timmy said, rolling his eyes but laughing at the absurdity.

### The Final Breakfast

On the day Austin was set to leave, he and Timmy decided to make one last breakfast together. The smell of bacon and eggs filled the kitchen, and Austin felt a bittersweet twinge in his heart.

“Hey Dad, can you hand me the salt?” Timmy asked, focused on the frying pan.

“Sure thing, son!” Austin replied, grabbing the sugar instead, a mischievous grin spreading across his face.

Timmy, not looking up, took the 'salt' and sprinkled it generously over his eggs. “Thanks!”

After cooking, they sat down to eat. As Timmy took a bite, his face contorted in confusion. “Um, Dad, are you sure you handed me the salt?”

Austin, tapping into his best acting skills, replied with a straight face, “I’m positive.”

Timmy’s eyes widened as he processed the sweetness of the sugar mixed with his savory eggs. “Dad! This is sugar!”

Austin burst into laughter, unable to contain himself any longer. “Gotcha! Just one last prank before I go!”

Timmy shook his head, laughing along. “You really had me there! I can’t believe you did that!”

### Conclusion

As they finished their breakfast, the warmth of their shared laughter filled the room. Austin felt grateful for the time spent together, the pranks, and the heartfelt moments that had strengthened their bond.

“Here’s to more adventures,” Austin raised his glass of orange juice, and Timmy joined in, a smile on his face.

As they settled in for one last game night, Austin knew this was just the beginning of many more father-son shenanigans to come.
