~Ava~
"Where are we going?" Ava asked, and not for the first time during the long as fuck walk into what appeared to be the heart of the angel's fortress.
"Patience, Ava." Uriel replied without looking back.
Ava ground her teeth. And that wasn't the first time she had been told to be patient, like a child. She glared at the angel's back. His posture was perfect, head held high and, somehow, unmoving as he marched with quick, long strides down the corridor.
"Bit hard when you could be walking us... me," Ava refused to care about what happened to Halo, "to my death."
"Ava..." A most unwelcome voice started from behind her, but she was quick to talk over the top of it. If they were going to treat her like a petulant child, then that was how she would act.
"If you don't tell me where we're going right now, I will sit down right here, and you'll be carrying me the rest of the way."
Halo groaned in embarrassment, but Ava couldn't care less. She stopped, folding her arms over her chest, and waited. Uriel halted ahead of her with a sigh. He turned slowly; his mouth pulled into a thin, unimpressed line. Ava made sure to scowl even deeper, holding her ground.
The angel finally shrugged. "Very well," he gestured to behind her, "you will be carried then."
A pair of strong hands settled on her waist, lifting her up until her feet left the floor. Ava let out a squeak of surprised indignation.
"Woah, hey!" She kicked out, struggling in the guard's grip. "Put me down! Put me the fuck down!"
Uriel just shook his head, spun on heel and began to walk again. "This is what you asked for."

By the time they arrived at a door, Ava had stopped fighting. All that her struggling had achieved was bruised sides and a flushed face. She felt ridiculous as Uriel pushed open the door and she was finally placed back on the ground just inside the room they had arrived at.
"Have a nice ride?"
Halo's smirk made her want to smack them in the face all over again but before Ava could even flip the bird, the door was shut and the three of them were cast into darkness.
Why are the guards outside...? I knew it, this is where they kill us, me, FUCK.
"Brother?"
Ava flinched. That wasn't Uriel's voice, nor Halo's, that was...
Light flooded the small room revealing Gabriel standing before them, his hand hovering over a strange glowing sphere mounted into the wall beside him.
"I'm sorry we're late," Uriel replied without skipping a beat, walking forward to hug his brother tightly, "someone refused to walk..."
Gabriel barked a laugh, slapping the other angel on the back as they parted. "I told you she was stubborn! That's my girl!"
Ava finally shook herself enough out of her shock to answer, and to be cross about it.
"Where the actual hell have you been?!" She demanded. About time her father finally showed his face.
Gabriel winced, immediately guilty.
"Well," Uriel started, awkwardly edging between them, back towards the door. "I'll leave you to talk but make it quick. I don't know how long I can stall them."
