CHAPTER 29- Moving Away But Holding on-

EMMA'S POV- -Play Song On Repeat-

           I was sitting next to Tadgh with Sean on my lap, "Sooo, how's Leah?" I said as Sean put his finger on my nose "She's good, she is at her grandparents house." Tadgh said as he flipped through channels on the television at the Kavanaghs house "Tadgh-" Joey was about to say but then stopped when he saw me "Oh, hi Em." Joey said as he flopped down on the sofa next to me "Hi! I'm waiting for Gibs.. We're supposed to go shopping for Claire since her birthday is tomorrow." I said as I scrunched my nose and poked Sean in the nose "Hi Seany-Boo" I said as Sean scooted up on my lap and wrapped his arms around my neck "Aww" I said as I hugged him "My Em-ee" Sean said as he kissed my cheek "Well, I'm going to go out. See ya Em." Joey said then got up and left "Oh Emma, hey pet." Edel said as she walked into the living space "Hey Mammy K!" I said as Johnny and Gibs walked into the living space "How's my daughter doing?!" Edel said as she sat in the arm chair next to the sofa "Mam,  she's not your daughter" Johnny said as he walked in with a cup of tea "I know, but she is to me" Edel said as she took the tea from Johnny, and Johnny sat down next to me "Hey Em" Johnny said as Gibs then sat on my right "I'm good Mammy K!" I said as I bounced my leg up and down, then Sean giggled "Little Em over here, has a date tonight." Gibs said as he wiggled his eyebrows at me "Shut up, ya eejit!" I said as I slapped the back of his head "Aye!" Gibs said as he gripped the back of his head, "Well, me and John have a date tonight too" Edel said as she crossed her leg over her other "Mam, can we not..?" Johnny said as he groaned and hid his face with my shoulder "Aww poor baby, get off of me." I said as he pushed his head off me "Jaysus!" Johnny groaned as he placed his fingers on his temple "Can we just go." Johnny said as he got up "Yeah, fine! I'm taking Sean with us." I said as I stood up with Gibs "I want to go!' Tadgh asked "Yeah sure! We can take my car since it had more seats." I said as I walked out with Tadgh, Johnny and Gibs trailed after me.

We are done shopping and I had just got to the Biggs house. I knocked on the door and then it opened "Hey Em, come on in" Hughie said as he stepped aside so I could walk in. I walked upstairs to Hughie's room, with Hughie trailing after me, I got into his room and flopped down on his bed. He laid next to me and pulled me onto his lap, I nuzzled my head into the space between his collar and jaw and just sighed. "What's wrong baby?" Hughie said as he began rubbing my back "Just tired." I said as I snuggled into him and just relaxed my body into his "It is late, it's 9pm." Hughie said as he kissed my cheek "Can I sleep..?" I asked as my eyes slowly started to flutter shut "Of course baby, I'll change your clothes okay. Just relax" Hughie said as he took off my cardigan and put it on my bed, he placed me on the bed then got up. He went to his wardrobe and grabbed a t-shirt, he went back over to me and took off my jeans. He knew I don't like sleeping in pants, and he doesn't have shorts so he's just going to leave me in my knickers. "Relax your body baby." Hughie said as he notice my stiff body,  he placed his hands on my waist and my body instantly relaxed. He then took my shirt off and my bra then put his shirt on me. He then got back into bed and pulled me into him, "I'm sorry we couldn't do our date night." I whispered as I placed my hand on his chest as he wrapped his arms around me and snuggled me into him. "It's fine baby, you're tired so just rest." Hughie said as he rubbed my back, I released a breath and sagged in comfort as my eyes fluttered shut.

"They're going to get married." I heard a voice from the door when I woke up. "For sure, my favorite couple ever." Another voice said, "What about me and Gerard?" A voice I knew who it belonged to "Claire, ya guys aren't dating." Shannon said to Claire but before Claire could respond Hughie groaned which meant he was waking up. His grip around my waist tightened and he pulled me closer if it was possible, "Shit they're waking up! Shan go." Claire said to Shannon while she took a picture of us the scurried off "Good morning,  princess." Hughie said in a deep, raspy tone. I just groaned and snuggled into him more "Five more minutes" I mumbled into his chest "Fine but only five." Hughie said as he closed his eyes again and then we drifted back to sleep.

It was now 1:30pm and I was walking around the kitchen of my house with my headphones on and my music blasting "Love You A Little" by The Maine, Taking Back Sunday and Charlotte Sands. I jumped when I felt a tap on my shoulder "Holy Shite!" I screamed as I took my headphones out and looked at who touched me "Sorry." Johnny said as he chuckled "It's not funny! You scared the shite out of me." I said in returned "Well I have good news!" Johnny said as he grabbed my hand and dragged me into the sitting room "What's so important that I have to sit down." I asked as I looked at Johnny who was standing in front of me "So, my Mam and Dad are adopting you! Well fostering you, because in the next 10 days if you don't find a guardian or someone to live with you then you're gonna get evicted.. So my parents are fostering you." Johnny said as a smiled plastered on his face "That's bad news Johnny!" I gaped in horror as I stood up and started pacing around the sitting room. "Why? How is that bad news?" Johnny asked as his face turned into concern "Johnny, this is where all my memories are.. This is the place that I have left.. I can't leave.. There's memories of Finny in this house." I said as my eyes started to sting "Em.. I know, I know.." Johnny said as he pulled me into his hug "I-I can't leave it all.." I sobbed into his chest "Em.. It's the right thing.. You'll be leaving in a year.." Johnny said in a reassuring voice "You're gonna move on, find a house, have a family. You're going to change" Johnny said as he backed away and held my hands "Come on.. You can have a fresh start this year.. Have a new home, a new better family. I know you don't want to leave memories of Finn behind but you need to let go." Johnny said as he gave me a reassuring smile " Okay.. But I'm taking some of his stuff with me." I said and then sighed "That's my girl." Johnny said as he draped his arm around my shoulders and walked me upstairs

"Okay I finished. I have everything I own packed. My comforter, all of my clothes and shoes, Jewelry, framed pictures, Finny's clothes and colognes, and more." I said as I put the last box in Johnny's car. "It's insane how we did this in 3 hours, it's only 5:30." Johnny said as he sagged into the driver seat, "You told me like 4 hours ago and now I'm moving. It's all going by so fast.. It's so rushed." I said as I sat in the passenger seat "Go look at your house before we go." Johnny said, I was gone before he could say anything else. I walked into the house and looked at the emptiness, tears threating my eyes, I walked around with my fingers grazing the cold, white marble counter tops. I walked up the stairs and into Finny's room, I sat on his bed taking in all the grief and air in the room. It still smelt like him, I let it go. "I c-can't leave.. Finn.. I can't.. I know you're going to say " Emma you need to let me go. Have a fresh start and live the life I couldn't" But, I can't leave you.. You're my twin brother, you're my best friend, you're my bitch." I said and laughed as the tears trickled down from my eyes "Uhm.. I'll come here everyday until I can't.. But for now, I'll be seeing ya, Finn." I said then stood up and left, leaving all the pain from this house behind me, leaving everything behind me except Finny Wilkinson he's always coming with me I smiled to myself then got into the car and we drove away.
