Chapter 13: Carrion and Charybdis

The Next day arose, Rimuru was still weak from the day before and had you lift him so he could get downstairs and eat breakfast- you held him and carried him slowly to the dinning room as he hugged against you and gently kissed your neck, you would have never expected him to be this clingy but it was a welcomed side of him you didn't mind to see.

After breakfast, Rimuru had the strength to walk again and headed outside holding your hand happily- you soon got word from souei of an approaching caravan, there was no word from Dwargon or Milim about sending people so you assumed it was another demon lord's envoy so you headed to the road that they were heading down and met them at the gate with the Kijin who joined at your sides, Kaya had unfortunately been out of the city for a while. She needed to head to her human home for something important but it had been nearly a month...

The envoy soon arrived, fancy carriages being pulled by monsters instead of horses- you could tell it definetly was a demon Lord's envoy and so you headed forward first ahead of everyone and stood in the way. They didn't slow down and seemed like they were testing you, you looked back at Rimuru before nodding to the orcs as an apology. The carriages still didn't slow as they got closer and closer to you so you planted your feet firmly and took a deep breath- the monsters pulling the carriages seemed scared at the gathering of magicules but the ones inside told them not to stop. You let out a bellowing roar, using milim's blood to activate the King's Roar skill that ruptured the road they stood on pushed the carts over with ease.

The carriage doors open, three people jumping out- one a man with dark skin and black armour, a woman who was half snake and held a priest staff and another a smaller woman with white and black hair and a set of matching ears and a tail.

Phobio: " I am Phobio of the beastkateers, you dare attack lord Carrion's envoy "

((I Do not remember the charbydis arc I'm sorry so I'm taking liberties ))

You: " You dare attempt to run me over when my Leader stands behind me? "

Phobio: " You aren't the leader? "

You: " Nah, only second in command "

This seemed to irritate the man even more as the two women he came with ordered him to stop, they all lined up in front of you and seemed aggressive but you couldn't jump to conclusions;

Albis: " I am Albis of the Beastketeers "

Suphia: " I am Suphia "

Rimuru: " We take it that you're here on Lord Carrion's orders? "

Albis: " That we are, to test you and to see if you're worth Carrion's support "

You: " Want me to take them on Rimuru? "

Rimuru: " No, let the other handle it "

You stepped back, this seemed to anger Phobia and disappoint Suphia who was the leopard lady. Benimaru, Shion and Shuna stood forward to fight the three beastketeers of demon Lord Carrion's army:

Phobio faced Benimaru, Shion faced Suphia and Shuna faced Albis.

Phobio and Benimaru went first, Phobio gloated about Benimaru being to weak to even scratch him- he got more annoyed at the fact Benimaru seemed to ignore his jeers until he went to insult you and Rimuru which recieved him a single powerful slash from Benimaru taking him down in an instant, the Beastketeers seemed disappointed in the loss and turned away from him. You could see his anger rising, you walked over and helped him up- healing Phobio as you stood to the side with him; the fights going off in the background.

You: " You really respect this Carrion huh, forgive me but I've never heard of him "

Phobio: " Huh how dare y- "
