Chapter 16: In for a long ride

You woke up early to see Rimuru had already woke up aswell, he was gone from the bed and you couldn't hear him in the house. You got dressed, brushed your teeth, combed your hair, washed your face and headed downstairs for breakfast and yet Rimuru was still nowhere to be found- you sat alone at the table for the first time, ate alone for the first time, it was... wrong.

You finally sighed, maybe he didn't want to see you leave so has hidden? Who knows... but you finally gathered all your stuff and headed outside the mansion and down the suprisingly empty streets, it was lonely like this and made you start to miss everyone already; once you arrived at the city gates, you noticed the crowd- everyone had woken up early and gathered by the gates to wish you a safe travel. You smiled and tears fell down your face, once you had reached the front- Rimuru and the Kijin were stood saluting.

Rimuru: " Everyone here is gonna miss you- I hope you're home safe again "

Everyone: " Safe travels! "

You looked at them all and smiled brighter than ever as you faced them all and began to walk to the gate- You waved to them all before yelling out yourself;

You: " I'll be back, stronger than ever and return back safe to you all, I promise! "

You faced Rimuru one last time, he jumped into your arms as you shared a kiss before looking at eachother- he left your arms again and rejoined the group, when you had begun to walk down the road leaving the village, you turned to face everyone one last time and saw as they all saluted to you as you left. You smiled and saluted back before heading further down the road.

You had finally left the view of Tempest and began to head to the east- you didn't have the hang of flying yet apart from simple hovering so you didn't dare try fly there but also running would scare people so you just simply walked along the road heading to the east. Eventually you reached the end of the road that was made and realised you had fully left Tempest at this point, the rest would be up to you and you alone.

You headed through the forest to the east- you began to fight monsters when they arrived and it reminded you of home, you missed them already but you needed to save Kaya so you plowed through waves of monsters in the forest and ate them to obtain their skills for the workshop in the hopes of being able to make epic new skills that you'd be able to help people with in the future.

It had been about a day since you reached the end of the Tempest made path and you were still just lumbering through the forest until you came upon a human town centered in the middle of a large clearing in the forest- it seemed to be quite large and you began to head in towards it to get some information, the area seemed dense with magicules as you got closer to it but it might have just been from all the people gathered.

You reached the front gate of the town, they had high walls and seemed well defended but the two guards situated out front with large spears in their hands let you in more than easily, they didn't even question you despite your monsterous appearance and just granted passage into the city. It was beautiful on the inside, people ran around happily and market stalls were bustling with people, you were sure you had never seen it before but it didn't matter much now as you began to walk along the streets- people seemed happy and waved at you as you walked past. Soon you came upon a large well in the centre, it seemed rich with magicules and they practically poured out of the hole.

Whilst you were looking down the hole, you felt a tap on your shoulder as you turned and saw a young looking girl- maybe in her teens, looking up at you as she carried a basket of spices and ingredients. She spoke in what you could only remember being a british accent from anime and movies but it sounded posh to say the least despite the town not looking too rich.
