Chapter 34: The announcement of Walpurgis

The Desert Alliance Council had come to an end, many representatives who lived close by or that had active forms of transportation decided to head straight off the island leaving only two said representatives left who asked for accommodation rather formally; The Arachne and the demon group had no way back other than the boats which had stopped sailing for the night.

You: " I see... "

You said, nodding slowly as they explained their situation and need of housing- they were your allies and subordinates now so it would help to have their trust and thanks as well; they awaited a response and looked nervous at what you'd say. The atmosphere shifted once you offered them a room for the night in the Lord's Manor, after all it was your house so you had every right to offer it to allies in need; they thanked you greatly, bowing slightly before being stopped, you didn't like this display of subordination.

You: " Never bow your heads to me, we're allies now so we're equal- come, let's find you a sufficient place to lay "

They followed happily, each representative was followed by two others who acted as guards stationed outside the council building during the discussions; the Arachne had a bee-woman as one guard and a minotaur as her other, the Demons had respective Incubi and Sucubi as their attendants one with armour and the other dressed casually.

You finally arrived at the manor, the guests looked up at it's splendour with wonderous expressions as they muttered about never seeing a house as big as this or never seeing such a huge intact building; they were ushered inside by Eleanor and Kaya who had already arrived back home, they made sure they were all in the building before closing the door and bowing to great them.

Eleanor: " I'm sure you all remember us from the meeting, as said; we are the rulers of the two kingdoms that reside in this mini-nation, however we obviously are run by the higher power, being our lord who runs this manor "

The guests nodded, they seemed to understand the situation and smirk at eachother; the two lightly dressed demons whispering to eachother as their markings lit up very dimly before they were glared at by the two leaders, the Arachne seemed disappointed slightly and lowered her head by a small angle hoping it wasn't noticed. Once the girls had settled the guests into their rooms, they came to greet you; planting a small kiss on either cheek before heading up to bed begging you to not take too long tonight.

You headed to your study, there was information you needed to copy down from your head for the girls to read through later, it would be necessary in the future in case any problems arose within the alliance and not only that but there needed to be some way to collect information on the rulers of each kingdom for blackmail and sabotage in case the rulers decided to try turn the alliance against you. The moonlight glittered the floor of the study, you chair was turned facing the window and papers littered the floor, blown around by the early morning winds; you began to pick up each page when you were struck by a thought, you left the window closed- you jumped back and faced the turned chair just as it began to spin and face you. Your heart raced and pounded in your chest, strong enough to break your ribcage itself but you had no time to worry about that as you forced yourself into a fighting stance.

Familiar pink hair was flapping in the wind as a small chibi demon lord sat in your office chair, she was glaring at you with a weird necklace around her that leaked evil energy into the room around you- she seemed annoyed and slightly upset when she came face to face with you; she stood slowly and began to walk towards you before vanishing and appearing with her arms around you in a tight hug.

Milim: " You Dummy! You haven't seen me in so long and you think your own mama is gonna attack you! I mean I would have if this stupid necklace worked?! "

You: " What are you going on about? What's happening? "

Milim: " Well Your little buddy Rimuru announced himself and you as a demon lord, a certain Lord Clayman didn't take kindly to this and has been scheming, don't worry since we've been countering his schemes but either way, I needed to see my son again so found a way for Clayman to make me come here "

You: " Make you? Is he in charge? "

Milim had to explain, it was a long story with many pointless parts but it boils down to this; Rimuru announced you and him were demon lords and allies after assuming your new nation would agree to friendly terms, this of course pissed you off and resulted in you explaining that you were now a separate nation and intended to rid yourself of any links to Rimuru. Milim wasn't pleased that her son and bestie weren't together anymore but it wasn't important, she continued to explain that the demon lords currently recognised gather in the walpurgis are recognised as demon lords or those keeping the balance on the same level as the true demon lords which she says she can see you are since dragons like you and her are obvious when they evolve to higher levels. The whole issue at hand is basically, Clayman doesn't like the idea of you and Rimuru announcing yourselves as demon lords and attempts to put you in your place, this means he has sent Milim directly to you to try take you out and break her more with his mind control necklace which he thinks is working, she has two options; she needs you to avoid going to the walpurgis meeting or to drag you to clayman beaten and have you agree to ally with him in order for Milim to keep pretending that she is under his control and have the plan she's cooking spring into action.

You thought for a minute or so as you collected the papers scattered around the room and placed them neatly into a file, you needed to tell Eleanor and Kaya first so quickly wrote a note that you lay on the desk for them to read before heading into the nearby forest with Milim; you stood across from her, technically with your skills you were stronger but she seemed much more threatening than you thought she would- she asked for a real fight to see who would win and if it seemed like she was going to lose then you'd change the plan into the story that you were stronger but didn't want to kill Milim and chose to ally with Clayman to avoid having to kill her.

You and Milim stood across from eachother, you could tell that she was ready for a fight as her fists clenched ready for action, You joined her and got ready aswell- Mother and son facing off against eachother, a battle that really didn't need to happen but for the sake of the scheme, you needed to win and make yourself known for being stronger than the Destroyer, Milim Nava...
