Chapter 29: Bigger Issues yet to come

Your magicules sky rocketed, you began to walk to the edge of the city in the direction of Falmuth whilst your subordinates and civilians attempted to stop you- the souls were trapped in a barrier so making sure there wouldn't be a second attack was a higher priority since there would be no use reviving the dead when they could lose their lives again.

You stood at the city border, about to pass through Rimuru's barrier that you broke through easily upon entering but as you attempted to leave- the man himself appeared and landed in front of you, his long blue coat and scarf still adorned and his large black devil like wings folding into his back; the two of you locked eyes and you could tell he had bigger things to deal with, you stood to the side to let him pass as Rimuru looked confused but entered the barrier all the same and began to watch closely as you went to turn and leave.

Rimuru: " You just got back... going already? "

You: " For a good reason and only briefly.. "

Rimuru: " Leave Falmuth alone, I have bigger plans "

You: " You plan for me to sit by? "

Rimuru: " I never said that.. let me do my job first then we will discuss everything "

You sighed, it was infuriating but you respected and trusted Rimuru- you were not his servant or subordinate due to power but by choice so leaving was easy as he no longer knew your true name and had no reference of it changing to Icarus from your ascension. Rimuru guided you back, your magicules plummeting as you calmed and eased your mind again before joining him in the center of town, a small podium was set up for him upon request.

Rimuru: " I intend to become a demon lord... "

There were gasps amongst some of the civilians, they didn't seem to know that you yourself had already undergone this transformation due to being countries apart. Rimuru looked at you, both your eyes screamed of things you needed and wanted to tell eachother but more important things took presedent over them and bigger issues were yet to come; you simply nodded in encouragement as rimuru became his usual slime self and hopped onto the alter with a white cloth draped around him.

The subordinates of Rimuru collapsed and fell asleep on the spot as a bright light and loud voice exclaimed that he was evolving, Rimuru's body changed and you were the only one awake to notice it as most were fast asleep in kneeling positions almost like they had been frozen in time. Rimuru's body ascended slightly into the air and shrouded itself in the white cloth, dazzling red eyes seemed dulled and empty but stared directly at you who did not kneel and could still move.

Raphael: " I see... You evolved much earlier than us? "

You: " Us? "

Raphael: " Not of your concern, more important matters at hand. "

You watched as whatever now rested inside Rimuru's body and piloted it began to head over all the civilians laid to rest under silk cloth and gathered in town, floating orbs began to form above their bodies in a technique you had simply mastered, the glowing souls floated above the bodies before descending again and using a large amount of magicules to revive them- you could have done it much easier but it seemed Rimuru had something to prove; his body fell and began to grow tired before becoming it's usual slimy shape again and collapsing downwards into your awaiting arms.

It took a while for Rimuru to wake but he was rested on the pedastool by you and taken care of, the dead rose again and seemed to celebrate the fact that their feet once walked the earth all over again and they were born anew- it also seemed that all the subordinates that Rimuru named and commanded recieved gifts which was not an option when you evolved or atleast not to your knowledge, maybe there was a proximity and only Kaya at the time would have met it.
