The three of us excitedly walk in to the pier, hearing screams of joy and terror, and smelling delicious foods and the hint of sea water.

My plan, was to make this the best day ever for both Buck, and Christopher.

We started off with a bunch of rides before taking a cotton candy break.

"Mmmm." Chris says as he takes a big bite.

"Is it good?" Buck asks.

"Mhm." Chris nods.

"Come on, let's take a picture for your dad." I tell them. "Say cheese!"

"Cheesee!" They say in unison.

I laugh seeing them put on their toothiest grins, and send the picture to Eddie.

Lia
Feeding your child tons of sugar today. Sorry in advance!

Eddie
He'll be finee. He'll crash once he gets in the car.😂

Lia
Buck looks happy. I'm glad this worked out.

Eddie
Same here. I gotta go now though. Bell just went off.

Lia
Okay, be safe, please.

Eddie
I will, don't worry. You be safe too

read.

"You texting Eddie?" I hear Buck ask.

"Why? You miss him?" I tease.

"W-what? What do you mean miss him? I..I, what?" He stutters.

"Buck, I'm kidding. You know I am." I say confused.

"Yeah, yeah, sorry. Anyways. Chris, how do you feel about winning a prize!"

"Yesss!" Chris yells excitedly.

"Let's go, then!" Buck yells, getting up and guiding the way to a game.

We eventually make our way to a water gun game.

"This is for all the marbles." Buck says excitedly.

"Buck?"

"Yeah, buddy?"

"I don't want the marble. I want the bear." Chris says.

I laugh at what he said, and kneel down to his level.

"It's just a figure of speech. That bear, is all yours." I tell him.

"Ready, now?" Buck asks.

"Yeah!"

"All right, I'm gonna hold it here." He says, holding onto the water gun, aiming it at the target.

"Come on, come on! Whooo! You got this!" I cheer them on.

The three of us watch as the water level goes up, and the bell dings.

"Good job! you did it!" I say excitedly.

"Give me five!" Buck says.

Chris high fives him, and he dramatizes it, pretending he was blown back.
