*Present day*

Omniscient pov:

It's the next week after the party Madison and Lani haven't talked the whole weekend which isn't a real surprise 

Xolani pov:

I'm thinking to myself on the bus ride to school early surprisingly. in my thoughts "I don't know why these feelings are back then. I thought they were gone for good. I try to avoid her but I can't. She's everywhere I go. I turned her messages notification off thinking that would change something. Still, I find myself checking my messages constantly making sure I don't reply but simply looking at them making sure I didn't miss anything important." it's so annoying she has this chokehold on me. I know it's not possible to ever be with her because she is head over heels for this boy. When I hear about her liking a boy or talking about her "man" I get so annoyed and so angry cause she could do so much better. Better may not be me but I Just wanna see her happy.

School is getting really tiring and I just want the year to be over once finals come I'll be happy.

*At school*

I got there around 7:50 signed in and went to my class which was math I hated math first period days cs I could never focus but I had to cs it was only 7 kids in the class including me...

By the time that period ended, I was ready for lunch so I could see Madison since we had no classes together for real. The next two periods were a blur. Lunch comes and Madison and I meet in front of the school since we're allowed to get food from nearby stores unless you pay for the school lunch. I honestly forgot she had her sew-in from her birthday so it was like I saw her with it for the first time all over again. I paused in my tracks a bit taken aback by how different she looked, and because she had on the glasses which made my stomach flutter a bit. She looks at me confused because of my face and just simply says "Girl come on I'm hungry!". "Damn big back ok" I reply back. She just rolled her eyes in return. We get our food and head back to the normal place we usually eat at. She immediately starts to eat her sandwich. I pay her no mind while I scroll on my phone for a bit till I hear her go to pick up her other half. I can't help myself from staring I don't know watching her eat is the cutest thing. I always catch myself staring at her when she eats, walks, and talks. She is just so pretty to me.

I'm snapped out of my thoughts by her calling my name tryna get my attention.

Gisellana pov:

I look up mid-bite of my sandwich and Lani is just starting then she goes back into her phone...

(what the heck was that lemme got her attention to ask her)

"Lani"

No response.

"Lani!"

Still no response...

"XOLANI"

She finally looks up

"Girl, what you saying my whole name for?"

"Umm because u weren't responding..."

"I heard u I wasn't ready to respond I was thinking"

"Oh well, what class do u have next?"

"Idk you tell me, I don't remember my schedule" she said in a mono-tone voice

I know she just didn't have an attitude with me.

"fix who you are talking to in that tone Xolani."

she went back into looking at that damn phone again, so I snatched it out of her hand

"Madison stop I was doing smth give me my damn phone back."

"Girl no I'm talking to you"

(I looked down at her phone to see the MSGS app open she was texting Jay. A boy that was ugly for her .)

Jay

" You still talking to this 'bao' looking ass nigga Xo?"

"oh my gosh don't say that he's nice just not the cutest but we're just friends."

"Now I'm finna go thru this phone!"

(she practically leaped over the table.. the fastest I've seen her ass move.)

"fuck no gimme my shit"

"damn, fine here"

I don't understand why she hides her phone so much what the fuck does she have in there? I have no problem letting her be on my phone but when it comes to hers she becomes mother fucking hulk.
