Hi, guys you probably can barely tell the difference in the chapters but I've been tweaking a couple of things 😭 my goal is to finish the edits by tonight so we'll see 🌚

Also looking back this chapter is so random and moves pretty quickly so I'm sorry about that 😭😭

Gisellana pov:

She stays looking down fidgeting with her fingers.

"Lani??"

She doesn't look up, and her leg starts bouncing. I pick up her chin slightly to see her face because I don't know if she is finna tweak or just playing. Her eyes are watery and turning red. She can't even make eye contact with me she's just staring off. Seeing her like that broke something in me, I wanted to fix whatever was hurting her like this.

"Lani, what's the matter I'm here?"

"I have something to tell you but please keep it between us. Foreal Gisellana if this got out I'd never forgive you."

My eyes started to water just thinking about how broken she was about whatever she had to tell me.
 
"Okay Lani I promise"

"Ok, I um I drink a lot more than u think I do it's really bad I don't even feel those effects anymore I'm so used to it and I um..."

She goes to sit down on the toilet I knew something was up with her drinking because she always had a cup that she'd never let me drink from like liquor in the mornings but I just thought I was just going a little crazy. She starts to take off her hoodie guessing she hot cs the bathroom is humid.

"I'm gonna show u something but don't look at me differently please I only do it because it makes me feel something rather than feeling empty all the time."

She pulls her hoodie off her arms and it's tiny slash marks all over her arm. I started crying I don't understand why she didn't come to me she could've talked to me.

"Xo no, no please tell me that's not." I could barely see from my blurry eyes.

"I know I'm sorry, I'm sorry"  she slid off the onto the floor.

I can't believe I didn't notice my best friend, my entire life was slowly falling apart. I tried my best to keep my composure. People started to come into the bathroom which gave me the idea it was passing period which meant class started soon. I didn't wanna leave from this spot but I checked the time and it was indeed 9:57 class started at 10:00...

"Xo my love come on get up I gotta take you to class"

Her eyes were red but I honestly couldn't tell she was crying her eyes out....

Wait that means I've seen her like this before but never knew it was from her crying she always said it's because she's tired. She's said that since we were younger...

I've been blind this whole time...

"I don't wanna go."

"you have to Xo you have a quiz you need that grade to get you back into the 80's. I walk with you if you need me during class text me and I'll meet you in the locker room okay?"

"Okay, I guess." this eye roll had more sass to it than before.

"Xolani I just told you about that eye rolling. Stop playing with me."

"Okay, I'm sorry I guess."

I pull her into a hug for the first time in years. I think she needed to fall into the hug our bodies fitted perfectly into each other. I've never seen her so vulnerable before. I just wanted to take away all her pain. My head was over her shoulder so I looked down and I said "DAMN". I know this is such bad timing but her ass is literally so fat I was like what the heck because I have never looked at her shape before.

"What?"

"Oh, nothing just got a bit of a headache all of a sudden."

"Oh ok"

We start to head back to the classroom to get our bags. Everybody was already gone because class ended 10 minutes ago... We go down to her class which is on the first floor but also right next to the deans office. Our dean is also an English teacher for our grade which is Xo's teacher. I don't go around the corner because I already go a email home and don't really wanna talk to the dean today. He's nice but he can be annoying sometimes. I give give her, her bag since I carried it down.

"Okay I'm gonna go to my class now it's text me and I'll go to the locker room if u need ok?"

"Okay"

I watched her walk in then went up to my class. Now 10 mins late..
