Xolani pov:

I get home and I start my after school routine. When I finally sit down my phone starts buzzing... I check 1 message is from my mom the other is from Madison. I open my mom's first and it's a screenshot of an email home from one of my teachers and a paragraph telling me how lazy I am. I just respond with "I'm doing the assignment now". There's not much to say because I simply didn't do the assignment because it was too much work... I then open Madison's message and not gonna lie i didn't I've a fuck but what she had to say because i had a mentally exhausting day. So it just responded quickly in hopes she leaves me on delivered until tomorrow morning like usual.

She did as usual.

I did the missing assignment. Fed my younger siblings, got them both washed and in bed before my mother got home. Then did my night routine which was cut short cs my mother said I had all the time in the world like I wasn't bathing and feeding her children. I went to bed. Holding on to my pink plush pillow falling asleep.

Omniscient POV:

Xolani woke up at 6:40am, late as usual she jumps up quickly does her morning routine finds clothes to wear and does her hair by this time it's 7:15 she alrdy late to school. She tells her brother Jayvon it's time to go the head to the bus (he's six yrs old btw). We get on the bus and it's like 7:30. Her brothers school is 1 block away from the bus so they get off the bus by 7:45 and she's back out his build by 7:50. Xolani has 10 mins till her first period starts and if she's late again she has Saturday detention and a email home. Xolani ran the 4 blocks from her brothers school and signed in at 7:59. She was out of breathe and ended up being late to her first period but it was just gym so she didn't care. She went to the locker room thinking she'd be by herself in there but she thought wrong...

Xolani pov:

I walk down to the locker room heavily out of breathe throat dry and eyes slightly teary. I open the doors the look into my phone and walk past the first bathroom than the sinks and mirrors to the bench infront of my locker. I turn my headphones down because I hear some background noise and it's smb calling my name. It's Gisellana.

I was not ready to talk to anybody this morning.

"Xo! Ik u hear me?"

"No I didn't my headphones was up my bad"

She starts to walk over to me.

"Are u going to gym tdy cs I could come, or we could go get Starbies"

The days I have gym Gisellana has a free period. Sometimes she comes to my gym classes others she just does work in the library. Recently we've been going to Starbucks when I'm late to gym because they leave me and go to the park since the weather is getting nicer.

"We can go to Starbucks i guess"

"Ok! Give me a sec let me finish doing my lashes"

I swear it takes her 20 mins to put on damn mascara on. We had to be back before 8:45 so that we wouldn't see my gym class on the way back and I get a email saying I skipped class or sum shit.

"Foreal hurry up yk we have to be back before my class does"

"Xo I know that I'll on be 5 mins and we can go out the back way girl"

I swear I wanted to leap and punch her because that's not the damn point .

" whatever hurry up"

"Fix that attitude immediately, and don't rush me."

I hate when she tells me to fix my attitude because who are u to tell me that!

Gisellana Pov:

Xo is steady rushing me when doing my mascara . I see that attitude is still with her which means dry bestie all day ewwww.

"Okay cmon Xo I'm ready, lemme js put this stuff in my bag rq"

I saw her get up and start walking towards the door I was just by. Which made no sense cs that's mean we'd have to walk around the building to get to the back... so I turn to her her back facing me as I'm abt to say no go to the other side and grab my phone. I swear I've never noticed she had a ASS ON HER AND IT WAS HUGE. Like damn her butt is so fucking fat. I'm ngl I wanted to walk up and smack it. I got out of my thoughts when she had stopped walking to look at herself in the mirror

"Hey Xo got to the other side and could u pls grab my phone for me"

"Ok and sure whatever"

I swear I'm gonna snatch her tf up.

"Xolani melody Jackson. Loose the fucking attitude"

"Oh my gosh, I don't have one."

"Your lying, but ok"

We head out the back door and start walking towards Starbucks. It was a quiet walk because "Stankisha" had an attitude. When I was ordering my Starbucks Xo was literally right next to me. That told me she wasn't getting anything.

She honestly hasn't been eating or asking about getting food for a week or two now. And when she does eat it's a snack or a 6pc mozzarella stick. She kept saying oh she had no money or her mom didn't give her money but that's a lie because when she goes to pay her balance shows.

"You not getting anything Xo?"

"No don't feel like it"

"You already don't eat breakfast in the morning Xo, and you're gonna wait till lunch to eat"

"Well if u put it that way yes."

We walk to the end of the counter waiting for my drink.

She follows right behind me when we stop walking her head finds a place on my shoulder slightly resting not putting all her weight on me.
