Xolani pov:

"fuck no gimme my shit." I said.

"Damn, fine here" she said kinda confused and disappointed.

She plays too much sometimes like if she really went through thisphone she'd know I'm gay and not even talk to me anymore...

"We have 5 mins left I'm heading down to my class see u after school, bye"

"k"

I'm not surprised by her response cs that's what she usually says when I say bye to her... I don't know she never says bye to me it's kinda like she thinks oh I'm gonna see her again soon so it's not a bye? Maybe I don't know could just be in my head.

The rest of the day literally flies by I've never been so ready to pick up my brother after school.

I walk out the school doors and wait for Madison.

She finally comes out we start our normal after-school convo.

"Hey, how was ur last period?"

"Omg omg omg" she says while hitting me

"OW! I already told u abt that hitting now what?"

"Oops my bad I forgot, but I had chem and Navy was there obviously but like we had to be lab partners and he was like teasing me then he called me Maddie and I got so uncomfortable and had to look away.. but anyways how was your last period??"

I already knew she was gonna start to talk about "Navy" aka Mason.. but I just let her go on and on abt that boy.

"It was fine. How are u getting home? Mom? Or bus?"

"My mom she's probs already here, come say hi"

I didn't really want to cs I was over-talking in general but I have no problem with her mom at all.

"Okay."

We walk down the street till we see her mom's car. We walk to the driver's side of the car. Her mom rolls down the window.

(Her mom is the bolded)

"Hey, Xolani. How was ur day?" She says in a playful tone

"Hi, it was okay!" I said kinda blandly

"What's wrong with you why you sound like that?"

"Nothings wrong I'm fine!" Saying with some emotion so she doesn't begin to question me.

She asks Madison where her sister is cs she has dance to get to. She just respond "I don't know, I'll text her to hurry".

"Xolani your going to get ur brother now?"

"Yes I am!"

"Omg mommy today at lunch I took Xolani's phone and she basically jumped over the table to get it back"

"Girl I did not jump! I don't know what possessed you to even take my phone out my hands." I said kinda laughing.

"Xolani.. what could possibly be in that phone??"

"Yea Xolani 🤔"

Madison was just adding to it tryna make it worst.

"Absolutely nothing I wouldn't show my mother. YOU Madison just do the most!"

"Oh whateverrr"

Madison's sister finally came out and got in the car we said our goodbyes and they drove off. I started to walk to my brother school but I checked the time it was only 3:15 and my brother doesn't get out till 3:30 but his school is only 4 blocks away so I walk slow to his school. I get there around 3:25 and wait in the lobby for them to bring them out.

Gisellana pov:

We said our goodbyes and my mom pulled off I looked out the back window until lani was no longer in eye sight. My mom began to ask my sister how her day way and if she was ready for dance. We pulled in to her dance studio and Stella my sister got out. Now it was just me and my mom in the car which could sometimes be good and bad. We started to head home.

"So Gisellana, how was ur day"

"It was good mommy how was yours?"

"It was good lots of meetings tho. Hey what was up with Xolani today?"

" I honestly don't know mommy, she was acting like that at lunch today too but she never said anything. She kept zoning out a lot."

"Hmm okay I hope she's better tomorrow."

"Yea me too cs she wasn't even laughing at all and she always laughs"

We get home and I go up to my room. I go to text lani but she's just responding dryly and having an attitude so I just showered and went to sleep.. whatever is bothering her I hope it stop tmrw so I can have my bestie back...
