WITH each passing spring day, Seong Haewon felt strangely at peace with herself, happiness aching in the soreness of her cheeks from the countless times she had let a smile spread across her soft features.

Sipping at a juice box, a small, white bendy straw tucked between her pink tinted lips as a subtle breeze brushed by, slipping through her long strands of dark hair.

The girl settled onto the bench across from him, as always. His soft voice filled her ears, though she wasn't at all focused on what he was saying.

Lost in a train of thought underneath the warm, spring air, the girl didn't even realize she had finished the last of her juice. Now, only sucking up small little bubbles and droplets through the straw.

"Seong Haewon!" Heeseung spoke up once again, waving his hand in front of her face to get her undivided attention.

Haewon perked up, lifting her head to meet his gaze as a soft hum sounded past her lips. "Huh? Yeah, yeah. What's up?"

"You weren't listening to a thing I was saying." Heeseung huffed, reaching over the table to give her a soft nudge on the shoulder using his hand.

"It's not my fault you're boring." She teased, nose scrunching up lightly as she snickered. With a small, breathy sigh, she set the juice box down on the tabletop with all of her stuff, her hand raising to thread her fingers through her hair.

"Boring, yeah?" Heeseung repeated as he raised a brow, eyes following her every moment, admiring the way she ran her fingers through her hair mindlessly, along with the subtle scrunch of her nose and the small smile tugging at the corners of her lips.

"Alright, then. Enlighten me. What's got your mind so occupied?" He questioned, tilting his head as he twirled his pencil between his fingers.

"Nothing, honestly." Haewon admitted with a shrug, unsure how to word her state of mind as she let a gentle smile settle across her closed lips.

"Nothing?" He reiterated, humming along with the singular word as he leaned forward to rest his chin in the palm of his hand. "Yeah, right. Like I'll believe that." He scoffed playfully.
