HOLDING a chocolate ice cream pop in her hand, the night was still young with the bright moon directly above, acting as a spotlight as they walked aimlessly through town.
“This is heaven. The ice cream tastes so good tonight.” Haewon muttered, a small hum of contentment sounding past her lips as he chuckled and raised his brows.
“That good, huh?” Heeseung questioned with a huff, gently bumping into her side with his shoulder, as she snickered and bumped him back.
“Mhm, very. Tonight has been great.” The girl said in return, a smile tugging at the corners of her lips as he mirrored her smile, nodding quietly.
“Agreed.” He said in short, a soft sigh of content sounding through the night. “See? This is why you should always trust me when I ask to take you out.”
“Yeah, yeah, okay. Don't get too full of yourself. There's been some times where you've insisted on hanging out and it ended up being a terrible day for both of us.” The girl recalled, clicking her tongue.
“Remember when you thought you lost your wallet and we spent the entire day searching the town for it only to discover it was in your backpack the whole time?” She added on, bringing up old memories.
Heeseung shuddered dramatically, grimacing at the thought. “Please, don't remind me. That day was miserable. My feet hurt so bad after that.”
“If only you had just checked your bag thoroughly beforehand.” Haewon sighed out, dragging on her words teasingly as she turned her head to look at him.
“I did! I swear, it just respawned there once we had started to give up. I swear, I checked in there so many times and it wasn't there.” The boy complained quietly, shaking his head.
“Yeah, sure. Because that can totally happen.” The girl muttered sarcastically, bringing her ice cream to her lips as Heeseung rolled his eyes.
“Honestly, you never know these days. There are many, many mysteries to the world. Maybe the universe was playing me that day.” He shrugged, earning a cheeky smile from the girl.
