______________________________________WEARING an oversized t-shirt with a pale green shade, and a pair of baggy blue denim jorts with a pair of old, used sneakers, Haewon forced a smile onto her pink-tinted lips as she stared back at her reflection in the slightly dusty bathroom mirror.
Opting to wear jorts, of all things, as they went just past her knees to cover her scar-littered legs. And, they were breathable, which helped due to the burning temperatures. She didn’t want to risk overheating and being uncomfortable whilst out in the sun.
Seong Haewon still couldn’t help but to feel on edge since that Wednesday afternoon.
But given the circumstances of the day, she tried her best to push said trauma to the back of her mind and allow herself to relax for the time being. Although, it never quite worked like that.
With the faint sound of her name being called by her mother who sat downstairs in the living room, followed after by the doorbell sounding throughout the house, she knew it was time to go; being half past twelve o'clock.
Haewon took a deep breath, pulling the door to the bathroom open and turning left, in which she found herself wandering down the stairs and stopped just before the front door.
Her hand latched around the doorknob, twisting it to the side and pulling it open, peeking her head out just a little bit to be sure it was who she thought it was before opening it fully.
“Hi.” Heeseung let out, a lopsided smile spread across his features as her eyes softened, a laugh bubbling from the back of her throat as he immediately offered her a bouquet of flowers.
“Hey.” Haewon greeted back simply, hands carefully welcoming the bouquet - a mix of her favorite flowers into her hands. “You didn’t have to get me anything. Thank you, Heeseung. You’re sweet.”
“I thought you deserved something nice. Sorry if they’re a bit.. Messed up? I had to put it together quickly at the flower shop because I was already running late from the time I said I was gonna pick you up.” He rambled, scratching his nape sheepishly.
“No, no, they look perfect. It’s really pretty.” She dismissed, shaking her head as she held the flowers to her chest.
“And honestly, I just finished braiding my hair, so you kinda got here at the perfect time. I was rushing, too.” She admitted with a chuckle.
