EVERYTHING felt to be a blur on Saturday, in the point of view of Seong Haewon.

The café was as lively as ever, customers coming in over the weekend to either grab a quick coffee and pastry or to dine in and enjoy their time, whether it be alone or in the company of others.

As the day progressed hour by hour, fake smiles and a forcefully cheerful tone of voice was all produced from the girl.

To be quite frank, she had only taken on this shift today to escape from the tense atmosphere building up in what no longer felt like home.

However, this didn't seem much better as her energy was practically nonexistent. Having to put on a facade of happiness was exhausting, and she wanted nothing more than to escape such misery.

Only, she had nowhere to escape to.

Haewon wiped down the front counter, nose scrunched up slightly at the overwhelming mix of scents, ranging from coffees, to pastries and different types of sandwiches or whatnot.

Her brown apron was tied around her waist, a hat on and covering her hair in the same shade as her apron.

The bell above the entrance chimed, ringing through the café as she took a deep breath, feeling weighed down with emotion but nonetheless trying to appear somewhat welcoming.

As her gaze shifted up, for once, she didn't feel an ounce of dread, nor did she feel nervous. The damage was already done, and it felt like she no longer had anything to lose—to care for.

"Hey, Haewon! Nice to see you." Kim Miyoung greeted, a small laugh bubbling from her throat as she adjusted the strap of her purse over her shoulder.

"Fuck you." Haewon spoke without guilt, or fear. She blinked slowly, watching hints of surprise linger on Miyoung's expression before she regained composure.

"Cheer up. I came to visit today just to see you. I'm surprised you haven't gotten fired yet, honestly. Word spread around town." Miyoung huffed, rolling her eyes as she dropped the friendly act.

"About, you know, how you assaulted me." She added with a sigh, feigning hurt and sadness as Haewon didn't react, her hands resting on the countertop.
