"do you feel it too?"
____________________________________THE aquarium glow casted a blue hue over their figures, walking slowly beneath the tunnels of the building, eyes wandering over the life behind the thick glass.
"Woah, Hee, look. A stingray." Haewon murmured, tilting her head towards the glass before she turned to look at him, as he was just behind her.
His head turned to meet her gaze as soon as he saw she was looking back at him, a smile pulling at his lips as he hummed and nodded.
"We should name all of the fish and stuff we see." Heeseung suggested playfully, his hand reaching out to grab hers as he intertwined their fingers.
"We'd be in here all day if we tried." The girl pointed out, shaking her head as she bit back a smile, eyes trailing over his features in the blue lighting.
"Mm, yeah, probably. And we'd probably accidentally name the same fish twice. It's hard to keep track of, isn't it?" He added on, raising a brow.
"Very." She breathed out a laugh, shrugging slightly before she turned back around, her hand still in his as she tugged him along with her.
"I wanna see those people that dress up as mermaids, but I don't think they do that here." The girl spoke quietly, careful not to disrupt the experience of other people visiting the aquarium.
"Isn't that for children?" Heeseung huffed, squeezing her hand as she snickered and rolled her eyes, shaking her head.
"I don't recall there ever being an age limit to fun, Heeseung." Haewon replied snarkily, nose scrunched up in mock annoyance.
"Right, right. Remind me next time to take you to a mermaid exhibit." The boy muttered sarcastically, as she peered over her shoulder at him momentarily, shooting him a look.
"Trust me, I will." Haewon said as a matter-of-fact. She paused, slowing her steps just enough to let him take a step at her side, now walking next to each other.
"Do you remember when I was convinced I was turning into a mermaid when we were little?" Haewon recalled, pressing her lips into a thin line.
"Oh, yeah. How could I forget?" Heeseung chuckled, smile brightening at the mention of an old memory that he found hilarious, no matter how much time had passed.
