WEDNESDAY was filled with agony, Thursday with emptiness; numb to the lonesome hours she'd spend day by day in school. Hours she used to at least be with him in between.

It was Friday already, the end of the week. The boys soccer team had left on the bus early morning, heading out of town for their tournament that would last for two days.

Seong Haewon felt as if she was going insane from the constant reminder of him—the tournament. A painful reminder of the heavy argument they had gotten into, and have since been in no contact.

Banners lined the school hallways, with action photos of the seniors in the soccer team posted out of respect for them. Given this, of course, he had one too. Unable to escape even as she walked alone to class throughout the day.

She was not okay, and she was no longer trying to deny that. Coming to a realization that something had completely shattered her soul, voiding her of happiness or peace.

The girl stayed quiet as she walked up the stairs to class, carrying herself tiredly to the second floor.

Distant murmurs coming from unfortunate familiar voices filled her ears, to which she pushed herself to one side of the staircase, not giving the three girls any excuse other than the fact that they simply just wanted to disrupt her day.

Meeting the face of Kim Miyoung as she climbed up stairs, the conversation died down, silent for a moment before turning into hushed giggles and whispers amongst one another.

Haewon chose to ignore them—or attempt to, at the very least. Expectedly, she was stopped by a hand on the sleeve of her blazer, tugging her to a stop as she clutched onto the railing so as to not fall backward.

"Just wait up for a moment, Haewon." Miyoung cooed, shaking her head as she drew herself closer to the girl, recognizing the subtle changes in her appearance since they had last crossed paths.

Dark circles settled beneath her eyes, which were void of their usual warmth and shine. Haewon was visibly tired—Miyoung noted silently as a smile crept up onto her pink tinted lips.

"It's been forever." Miyoung sighed out, as Haewon stared blankly at her, blinking slowly before she jerked out of her grasp, head turning to go upstairs only for her path to be blocked by Areum, who seemed to avoid her gaze.
